(FORMERLY "5 STAR VICTORIAN MANSION") Beautiful vintage home built in 1897 with original woodwork & architectural details. Under new ownership as of May 2026! Full kitchen, bathroom (shared), three common area rooms on first floor plus enclosed porch. Four large bright bedrooms on 2nd floor + one small single room (if needed for whole house rental) & full bathroom (shared). Spacious third floor family room with king bed, sitting area, table, refrigerator & adjoining room with 2 queen beds. New landscaping in May '26 and updated kitchen & bath improvements coming late 2026!
NOTE: There is NO bedroom on the first floor. The front/main entrance has approx. 15 steps; rear entrance has several steps.

We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO during our 3-night, 4-day trip to the Presque Isle/Erie area! Our group included 6 adults and 7 children - five of them under the age of 4 and the home accommodated all of us comfortably.The property manager was outstanding. He was attentive, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Whenever we had a question, he was easy to reach and responded quickly, which made everything stress-free.The home was a great place for our large family to relax after spending our days exploring Presque Isle/Erie. We truly appreciated the excellent communication and hospitality. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable, family-friendly place to stay!

Transplant from the Pacific Northwest to my mother's hometown in western NY. Excited to have a guest property in downtown Erie!

Why they chose this property

I like the proximity to Erie's downtown venues, especially the Erie Insurance Arena, UPMC Baseball Park, and Warner Theater. It's an old neighborhood but has great people & lots of potential!

What makes this property unique

The house was reportedly the largest home in Erie when it was built in 1897 by a wealthy industrialist. It was owned for 40 years in the early/mid 1900s by a physician, Dr. DeTuerck, who lived in the house with his family and used the attach cottage as his medical office! I plan to do research on the house & neighborhood to discover more history and hope to find old photos.
