We had a great time getting out of the city. The community is lovely. The house is well appointed. The host is very responsive.

Great house but found a dead mouse under the kitchen sink. Sent pic of it & Keith was very apologetic. He asked, and my husband was fine throwing away the dead mouse. I was wondering what the strange smell was. We are at a lake though. I was often keeping an eye out for a mouse running through the kitchen at night. his cleaning crew was going to drop off a trap that day, but didn’t Before that I had veryimportant supplements shipped to this house, but it was lost. I msged Keith and he replied, how can he help me? I asked if he could talk to his cleaning crewOnce I found the dead mouse, he became super helpful and messaged me often about it! He was msging helpful neighbors and one of them thought they saw a delivery truck at a different hm. He had me check at certain houses. We did find it at another house. Before booking the house, he said we could swim off community docks but water levels are even lower than we expected. However, our guys enjoyed going fishing at the dock andcaught some fish! Front loading washing machine smelled very moldy, and I cleaned out some slimy mold. We weren’t able to continue to wash our swimsuits or beach towels. I know it’s common with front loading machines. Even after booking, I messaged and said that we had a 6th person now, but I didn’t get a reply back so I never knew if he received it. This happened a couple of times. But overall, we still had a good time. We had a group with our son and his bros.

My family resides in North Carolina and we were introduced to Smith Mountain Lake in 2024 by some close friends. We were blown away by the stunning beauty, wonderful people and the endless activities around the lake. We set out to own a property that we could also share with guests. Our hope is that you find it as peaceful and wonderful as we do!

Why they chose this property

This is a prime location on the lake which is just around the corner from Mitchell's Marina where you can enjoy boat rentals, great food and live music on weekends. You can enjoy boating, fishing, hiking, wineries, great restaurants, golf and many more activities. This is a very peaceful neighborhood with a community beach, pool and other great amenities. Its perfect for a quiet couples getaway or a family vaction.

What makes this property unique

Our home is totally updated very well maintained. It is right next to the lake and a few steps from the community beach. It is also very close to Mitchell's Marina. A walk down the path takes to you the boat docks where is there a community boat slip (no cost, first come first served). There is pool on the property as well a sitting areas on the lake with community fire pit and parch bench. The views are incredible.
