Welcome to Creek Time.
My wife and I created the houseboats River Queen and Sweet Pea because we fell in love with life on the water. Living aboard reminded us to slow down and appreciate the simple things: a quiet morning, the changing light on the creek, and a conversation without distractions. We wanted to share that experience with others.
Creek Time began with that simple idea: life feels different on the water. Mornings linger a little longer, conversations stretch into the evening, and there’s time to simply sit and watch the creek move by.
Docked on the Rondout Creek, River Queen and Sweet Pea offer cozy, peaceful places to unplug, reconnect, and experience the Hudson Valley from a different perspective. Have your morning coffee on deck, watch the boats pass, explore nearby Kingston, or stay right where you are and do absolutely nothing for a while.

Around here, we call that Creek Time.
Come stay aboard River Queen or Sweet Pea and experience it for yourself.

Why they chose this property

We love living along the Rondout because it offers a unique blend of history, natural beauty, and small-town charm. Watching the boats come and go, enjoying spectacular sunsets, with bald eagles soaring above; being surrounded by water and nature never gets old.

What makes this property unique

ouseboat River Queen offers something you won’t find at a typical vacation rental~a peaceful stay right on the water in the heart of Kingston’s historic Rondout waterfront.

Wake up to the gentle movement of the creek, enjoy your morning coffee on the deck as boats pass by, and end the day with beautiful sunsets reflected on the water. You’re just across the creek from waterfront restaurants, galleries, shops, museums, and live music, yet the houseboat feels like a quiet retreat from everyday life.

Thoughtfully designed to be cozy and comfortable, Sweet Pea is perfect for couples, solo travelers, artists, and anyone looking to slow down and experience the Hudson Valley from a different perspective. It’s not just a place to stay, it’s an opportunity to experience life on the water.
