Secluded & Romantic Log Cabin with fireplace on Private lake & 85 acres

TOTALLY PRIVATE!!! Our 85-acre parcel of land located in northern Dutchess County offers a variety of terrain for exploring - woods, streams, meadows, and even a gorge. We are situated next to a 105 acre land preserve with 3 1/2 miles of hiking trails in addition to those on our 85 acres.

The log cabin, on the shore of our privately owned 3 1/2 acre lake, is the only dwelling on the lake. Your closest neighbor is about 1/4 mile away. The 480 sq ft cabin is equipped with a small kitchen and bathroom, comfortable queen sized sofa bed, AC, TV, Wifi, wood burning fireplace, ceiling fan, and picture window overlooking your lake. We limit the number of guests at the cabin to only 2.

Great fishing and swimming! The lake has MANY large mouth bass but bring your own fishing gear! A rowboat and inflatables (in season) are available for your pleasure.

A large, stone fireplace and a picture window overlooking the lake are the special features of the cabin as well as the covered front porch with hanging chairs and redwood sofa and chairs. Sleep on a queen sized sofa bed in our large living room. Two large hammocks can be moved to your favorite spot.

Outdoor cooking is made pleasurable with your choice of a gas grill or a stone charcoal barbecue, and dining is done on a large picnic table sitting on a fieldstone patio under our gazebo or on a picnic table at the dock area. The gazebo has a ceiling fan and lighting. You can also dine inside in front of the picture window, if you prefer. A herb garden (in season) offers a choice of 12 different herbs to use in your cooking!

Outdoor lighting is available if you desire it but we prefer the stars and moonlight reflecting off the lake!

Many birthdays and anniversaries in addition to very small and private weddings have been celebrated at our HUDSON VALLEY CABIN!

if you're looking for the dream getaway with your partner, guess what, you've found it. This cabin is the perfect weekend away, complete with Karen greeting us with Ice Cream sundaes to begin our stay. We had coffee on the porch every morning, walked the trails in the woods, sat by the lake and in the evening we grilled our dinner then made a fire in the fire place.Truly a perfect experience.

Great cabin and fantastic private location. Caught some nice bass and giant bluegills on flyrod. Weather wasn't great... but you can't have everything !Thoroughly satisfied with cabin and lication

The cabin on a private lake was wonderful. My wife and I got away for a few days and it was exactly what we needed and wanted. We fished most of one of the days out on the row boat. It was very fun caught many bass. Hoping to get some time again in the future to come back. Truly a cabin in the woods.. there were trails you can walk. Unfortunately didn’t have the time to do that hopefully next time..thank you KarenPeter and Dorothy

My fiancé and I had an amazing stay at this cabin. Very quiet and peaceful and lots to do just on the property alone. wonderful getaway!

we had a wonderful time in this idyllic corner of the Hudson Valley. Totally isolated on the beautiful lake with a charming cabin with a front porch that we only left when we wanted to swim. A cure for the quarantine blues!

Quiet Getaway

My wife and I stayed at the cabin for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. We enjoyed exploring the woods, swimming in the lake, and watching the storms roll in from the covered porch. The property was such a peaceful place to relax and enjoy nature!

Hudson Valley Cabin

Wonderful! Very clean - What a special place, great "spirit" - close to the FDR Presidential Library, Taconic Distillary, the Back Beer Garden and the Cabin (tavern)! Awesome for a couple, relax, swim, fish - no neighbors! Lotsa Bass for the catching!
