This property is so cute and comfortable. The location is ideal and close to a lot of things to do - even in the winter. The kitchen is well stocked and made preparing meals easy. We loved our stay and hope to come back.
A great houser in a great location. Close to lots of activities but away from downtown. Easy to get to skiing and Petoskey. Fit our family of 6 very well. Great kitchen.
The Vrbo was chosen for nearness to a family wedding at Castle Farms and this worked well. The cottage was super clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay there. The only minor downside was being awakened each morning by the barking of the neighbor’s dogs, which they let out as early as 6 am to run and bark!

Perfect
House was great. Had everything we needed. No issues.
The cottage was lovely and had great location to downtown Charlevoix. My one complaint is that we noticed that there were a lot of bugs in the house which was likely from cobwebs not being cleaned well otherwise the place we clean. I'd make sure next time that there was a deeper cleaner.
This was a beautiful cottage in a great location. Even though our weather was unseasonably cold and rainy, there was a lot to do including hiking, shopping and of course eating out. I daydreamed about whether I could live there forever. However, before you get your heart set, check out the fees. They are clearly stated, but for a 3 day stay, they are excessive. VRBO would not let me post details about the fees but we paid the equivalent of about 2 extra days based on the advertised daily rate. Listing at a higher daily rate with lower fees would be more transparent and I probably would have still paid it because it really is a great cottage. Possibly the new VRBO policies will help with this.
This was our first home rental stay. My first impression was not good as we struggled with the lock on the front door. We worked it every way we could but could not get the sequencing of the 3 step process. We would have appreciated instructions when we received the code. Once in, everything was as expected. Bedding was great, kitchen fully stocked and great streaming on tv. I have already sent the house info to other family members who were in town for a wedding.hou was exactly as expected
We loved the comfy home feeling this place provided for few days of our spring break. The kitchen had everything necessary to cook and there was tons of space in the home, you didn’t feel like you were right on top of each other. Location wise we were super close to downtown so we could explore and fine some great places to eat. A negative things: when we arrive the heat in the house was turned off, so we had to turn it on and leave. It was too cold to stay there or cook dinner so we went out to eat. You would think the heat would at least be kept on since they have a protocol in the house rules. And the backyard is not private at all. You can see straight into everyone else’s yard, like 6-7 homes. Thankfully it was winter and no one wanted to be outside but it felt very invasive when taking the dogs out.
Oh, and amenities are kinda scarce, like to blow dryer or cooking oil. Bring everything you need with you.

Dani, thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We apologize that the heat was not on and the home toasty warm for your arrival. We are sorry you felt you did not have the backyard privacy you needed when taking the dog out. Pantry items like oils and spices are not usually stored in the home for sanitary purposes. We encourage our guests to bring any food-related items they may need during their visit. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope we can host you again!
It's a cute property in a great location. Our main issue is that after we were out all day Saturday, we came home in the evening to discover there was no hot water. We tried the phone number in the welcome book and got no answer. then we noticed there was a different number in a flyer. That was answered, but apparently they couldn't get anyone to come out. My husband tried repeatedly to get the pilot light on the water heater back on to no avail. we weren't able to bathe for our last day in Charlevoix which did not make us happy. Also, the mattress in the master bedroom is as hard as a rock so I woke up with a sore back.
