Very private and peaceful.
Enjoyed kayaking, dog loved it. Steps to upstairs were impossible for me and my mom. Kids were ok with them. Those were the only problems.

Exactly what we wanted
Being on the lake. Beautiful scenery. Everything we needed at the cabin. Cabin feel. Just wonderful!
We couldn’t have imagined a better location and house for our family vacation and as a home base for day trips to Acadia National Park. Perched above a picture perfect Maine lake with easy access to walk down the stairs to paddle board and kayak, the cabin provided a place for us to relax and recharge and just chill with a beautiful view. Inside the cabin was cozy and comfortable with an ample kitchen and multiple hangout spots. Great place!

Peaceful retreat
The view of the pond was amazing! I enjoyed my coffee on the patio each morning looking out at the view of the mountains and the pond. The water was so clear that I could see fish swimming each morning. In the evening we gathered around the firepit and relaxed after a day of hiking in Acadia.

Beautiful setting and nice place for quiet, peaceful family getaway. The house was clean.
Very basic and outdated cottage. TV streaming service didn’t work, fridge and freezer didn’t work properly, and lacking some basic amenities. Also good to know ahead of time for families with kids that it’s perched high up on a hill with steep drop to water.

Lovely lakeside rental with ample room to enjoy the beautiful views. It was clean and easy to access. My one complaint was the insufficient kitchen wares for cooking: the rental was reserved for 6 people but didn't have enough silverware, plates, and cups for all of us.
We had a great time! There is a challenging staircase to upper bedrooms. A couple of issues were quickly & satisfactorily resolved by the property manager. Nice fire pit. SUP on the pond was peaceful. Basic kitchen supplies.
The kitchen was inadequate as stated in previous reviews. The management didn't take previous reviews seriously. The steps were so steep to the second floor that my sister had to sleep on the sofa for a week.

Secluded Cabin
Nice little cabin tucked away. We had four people and hot water was a bit of issue for showers. We ended up having 2 shower at night and 2 in morning. Cabin had all the necessities, except forks, only 3. I would highly recommend having a 4x4 vehicle to get back to cabin. Fairly, deep dip that was filled with water that came up to bottom of doors. We had to drive high up on edge of dirt road in the brush to not bottom out with my car. The middle of road is much higher then sides. Impossible to get our car thru just driving in middle of it. Cabin was fine, you need to let people know about the road back to cabin is not car friendly at all.

Heavenly but …
We loved this cottage! It was so peaceful and located on a pretty little lake. The bedrooms and sitting areas were very comfortable. We had a lovely campfire almost every day. And this cottage is relatively close to Acadia and other ports. However, the circuit in the kitchen (with the refrigerator) blew, but we did not have access to the breaker box to switch it back in. We called Vacasa for help but none came, so our food spoiled in the refrigerator. Also, only one bathroom is available to guests, but we learned there was a second, unused bathroom (which we think had the breaker box). A second bathroom with 5 people would have been nice. And it would have been helpful to be able to fix the circuit issue. This would have been a 5 star but for the electrical issue.

Very dissappointed
This home was disgusting. We tried to sleep downstairs on the big bed. It is the cheapest bed that had bent legs and missing a screw so we didn’t feel safe sleeping on it. The second night we decided to try one of the beds upstairs. When going to check the beds for stability we found a dirty condom on the floor right in front of the bed. Slept in the other bedroom with the balcony. The bedding smelt like mice pee. There were mice running and scratching in the walls all night. There were dead bugs in the corners of the rooms. There was a dirty bandage in the living room. We were excited to use the kayaks… but then disappointed because there were 2 kayaks but only one paddle so we could not kayak together.
The view is really nice though. Great location. Only an hour from Bangor and 40 mins from Acadia. Nice fire pit outside and outdoor dining table.
