About this property

Classic home overlooking the St. George River with deck & great views

Built in the 1960s by Etta and Almond Hall on land that had been owned by their family for 200 years, Etta's House is everything a summer cottage on the St. George River should be. The cottage, with stunning views of the river, still makes you feel like you're a million miles from everything that isn't as important as salt breezes, peace, and quiet.

Step inside to find exposed beams and vintage bead-board cabinets existing in harmony with such modern conveniences as a full-size kitchen, free WiFi, and a flatscreen TV with a DVD player. Large picture windows let in lots of natural light and cooling breezes. The deck spans the entire front of the house, offering a bistro dining set, a lounge chair, and three Adirondack chairs. A gas grill is also provided. Back inside, there are two bedrooms partitioned with three-quarter walls.

Here in the Wiley's Corner area of St. George, you'll be a quick and scenic drive from Tenants Harbor and Rockland.

Well appointed, comfortable getaway home!

Check in was smooth, the setting was gorgeous, perfect for visiting coastal Maine. The linens were pristine and they even included travel shampoo and soap. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need. Would stay again!

Relaxing retreat

My family enjoyed the property. My son fished in the clear waters off the dock and we all enjoyed the fire pit one evening. The property had everything we needed.

Peaceful lake home

Lovely older home with updated bathrooms and kitchen and gorgeous hardwood floors. Newly painted and super clean with beautiful new bedding and towels. The setting is spectacular and very private with a dock on a small lake. All in all, we had a very comfortable stay. The pictures online do not do the home justice.

Perfect Vacation

This home is so lovely and is in the perfect location. Beautiful pond and surrounding area. The house and grounds were spotless and everything you needed was provided. We were there during hurricane Lee and lost power for 12 hours. The management team checked on us, brought us water and kept us informed about the power company. Wi-Fi was good except for power outage of course. This was the perfect place for our 2 week vacation stay. The location is perfect for day trip outings to the entire area. Highly recommend this property.

4/10 Poor

GEORGE K.

Disappointing

Pond and grounds are beautiful- warm water, lovely views. Ladder is not attached to dock and shore is rocky, so getting into and out of pond can be challenging. House is close to highway so constant noise. Inside of house is shabby, needs updating. Wi-Fi was not working for our entire 5 day stay. TV signal frequently went out too. Little cell reception. Downstairs bedroom musty with windows that have no screen - provided humidifier is loud and generates heat, making it uncomfortable to sleep in the king bedroom.

A beautiful home with a broken lock

I’ll start with the good: this is a gorgeous property with plenty of room for a big group and a four season porch we were obsessed with. Unfortunately, the front door DID NOT LOCK while we were staying at the property. When I raised it to the guest services team, it took a full day for someone local to follow up, a few more hours for them to come check on it for us after asking if we really needed them to, and the they admitted it was broken and did nothing to fix it, just told us no one around here ever gets broken into. There’s only so much you can relax on vacation when you’re worried about the safety and security of your loved ones and personal items. Also, beware that booking this property means booking with a huge property management company with its own app, customer service, etc which is honestly both very annoying and confusing. I had to add a night to this reservation and it took multiple support tickets and phone calls to do so because of the multiple layers of middle men.
