Our "Funky Four" holiday rental, which sleeps up to 6 people, is brand-new and was just completed in 2022. It’s located near the beach and is both stylish and cosy, with barrier-free access and a high level of comfort.<br>On May 5, 2023, it even won the DGHR Star 2023 award in the “Furnished Living & Holiday Rentals” category. This is a prestigious award from the German Society for Home Staging and Redesign (DGHR). <br>Among other things, the holiday rental stands out for its fantastic location almost directly behind the dike, just 170 metres from the sea. It’s a 3-minute walk to the boardwalk and the ocean.<br>The apartment is located on the ground floor of an 8-unit building and is accessible via the staircase or the lift. <br>The spacious entryway offers plenty of room for shoes and jackets. <br>The heart of the apartment is a large, cosy living room with two spacious, comfortable sofas and a smart TV. The dining area features a large, rustic wooden table and particularly comfortable chairs.<br>The sunny balcony, over 8 metres long, faces south. It has both a covered and an uncovered area and is furnished with a relaxing lounge set and a deck chair. From the balcony, you’ll have a view of the neighbouring houses and the dike.<br>Set slightly back from the living room is the open, stylish kitchen, complete with brand-new, extensive, and high-quality appliances. <br>In a small storage room, you’ll find a washing machine, a clothes rack, 4 additional folding chairs, a children’s high chair, a fold-out cot, a lounge chair, and a vacuum cleaner, as well as a large shelf for your groceries.<br>The first bedroom, designed for 2 people, is furnished with a high-quality, comfortable box-spring bed (180 x 200 cm, with 2 mattresses and a topper covering the entire sleeping surface), a 3-door wardrobe, an armchair, and a TV.<br>The second, larger bedroom, which sleeps up to 4 people, is furnished with 2 high-quality, solid-wood bunk beds custom-made by a carpenter (sleeping surface: 90 x 200 cm each). These beds are extremely comfortable and are ideal not only for children but also for (young) adults. This bedroom also features two large clothes racks, a cosy lounge area, a TV, and a desk with a desk chair and an additional lamp for a home office or workation.<br>The high-quality, interior bathroom is equipped with a sink, a toilet, a very large walk-in shower, a towel rack, and a large mirrored wall. A highlight is the cosy sauna for up to 2 people, which can be heated up to 80 °C. The bathroom is also equipped with a hair dryer, a stool, a shelf, and towel hooks.<br><br>All windows and floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the apartment are floor-to-ceiling, making the apartment bright and filled with natural light. Electric roller shades allow you to completely darken every room without exception.<br>The apartment is heated by underfloor heating and a smart heating system, ensuring a cosy, comfortable warmth during the cooler months.<br><br>Parking information: The “Funky Four” apartment has its own private parking space (No. 5), complete with a carport and a small storage room. The storage room next to the parking space is available exclusively for your use during your stay. You can store 2 bicycles, a stroller, or a handcart here. For those arriving with a roof rack on their car: The carport’s clearance height at its lowest point is 2.30 m (please take note to avoid damage to the roof rack and carport).
