Welcome to The Rae! This brand new build is a luxurious getaway with complete privacy in the peaceful woods of northern Michigan. Set on a ridgetop overlooking the adjacent hillside, where you can enjoy cookouts on the expansive deck and a bonfire under the stars.

This home includes 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, with open-concept living, dining and full kitchen with high end finishes throughout.

All while being minutes away from Shanty Creek/Schuss Mountain, Torch Lake, Bellaire and so much more.

We had such a wonderful stay! The place was incredibly quiet and peaceful, which made it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Everything felt so calm and comfortable, and we really enjoyed being able to get away from the busyness of everyday life. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

The home was super clean and perfect for 4 people! So cozy and peaceful! The location was conveniently close to Torch Lake and Bellaire. We also ventured to Traverse City a day since it's within driving distance. Got a perfect mix of peaceful cabin and exploring the neighboring towns/cities.

The space is exquisite! It’s quiet and you’re away from any noise. We got the best rest. The space also has beautiful lighting. Our host was helpful with all our questions and shared some good great recommendations. Highly suggest!

Wonderful cabin in the woods! Loved our stay here and so did our young children. Close to a lot of places that are easy to drive to. Check out skybridge if you’re in town. Only recommendation would be for window blinds or curtains. We were up early with the sun without the window treatments. Highly recommend this place. Host was very accommodating! The fire pit was the best.

My husband and I planned a last minute getaway for us and The Rae was everything we could have wanted and more! Its seclusion and privacy in the woods was so cozy and wonderful. The only thing I would add to the VRBO would be curtains. I do love the concept of everything being open to nature, but to add to the privacy aspect, curtains would be nice. Aside from the curtains, everything was absolutely wonderful! This home is beautifully decorated and very clean! I loved the shower and heated floors in the bathroom! So neat! We enjoyed our stay and plan to return in the summer to rent a boat and take our kids to Torch Lake! We did that during our stay and it is an absolute must see!!

My wife and I fell in love with northern Michigan which inspired us to build The Rae. A place to escape and explore with our family and to cultivate lifelong memories with our three kids. We are excited to be able to share this special place with you, to create experiences and memories with you & yours.

Why they chose this property

We love how secluded this cabin in the woods is, while being only minutes away from the 5 championship golf courses within Shanty Creek Resorts, along with the close proximity to Schuss Mountain for skiing and snowboarding for year round fun. Not to mention only being 15 minutes from Torch Lake, 10 minutes to Lake Bellaire and to downtown Bellaire.

What makes this property unique

Complete privacy and tranquility in the woods. This is truly a secluded stay that you will realize as the long driveway transports you back to your secluded getaway.
