Charming, modern and clean farmhouse, peaceful grounds. Attentive host. We loved the pickle ball courts and really enjoyed the outdoors in general. Nearby Shepherdstown is great for dinner options. Would love to return one day.
The farm house had absolutely everything a family needs with wonderful space indoors and out to enjoy. The home is decorated beautifully, the beds are super comfortable. Step inside and you feel like you are walking into a welcoming family home. The hosts were always available if needed! I wish the farmhouse owners all the best, they have poured their heart and soul into every detail and it shows.
This is a gorgeous renovation of an 1850s farmhouse, with many of the original details lovingly preserved. The interior is bright and airy, with comfortable porch areas for sitting outdoors. The owners are friendly and helpful, and the house is well equipped for a comfortable stay. The house is on a beautiful piece of property with open fields and a pond. The owner was very transparent about the fact that the family operates a landscaping business from this site. This was not a problem for our group. However, if you are a light sleeper, be aware that you will hear some vehicles coming and going around the house early in the morning (although these folks were courteous and made every effort to be as quiet as possible). Another thing to be aware of is the layout of the bedrooms/baths, which of course stems from the age of the home. If anyone in your group has mobility issues you may want to ask for more details about the room layout and staircases. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this property to others.
