This house was beautiful and perfectly located being just a short walk from the beach and downtown Evanston. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything you could need or want! Karla was a wonderful host and super responsive and communicative. Would definitely recommend this home to anyone who wants to explore Evanston or the greater Chicago area!

We had an incredible 10-day stay in this beautiful Evanston home. Every detail was thoughtfully considered—from the impeccable decor and spotless cleanliness to the exceptional amenities. The coffee bar, premium toiletries, well-equipped laundry room, beach passes and lake gear made us feel completely at home. The gorgeous kitchen was perfectly stocked and a joy to cook in, and we loved grilling on the patio every evening. The living spaces were incredibly comfortable; our three kids looked forward to cozy movie nights piled onto the sofas each night. The host was warm, responsive, and wonderfully accommodating, making communication effortless throughout our stay. The location was ideal, with an easy walk to the lakefront and beaches, plus downtown cafés and grocery stores. We couldn't have asked for a better home base and look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Evanston.

We were a group of eight friends meeting in Evanston for our 30th college reunion - and could not have wished for a better location, property, host and all the little extras that made the stay memorable.LOCATION: walking distance to campus, downtown Evanston for shopping, and other restaurants even closer. On-street parking very easy with provided passes. PROPERTY: Huge, three-level home with more than enough sleeping areas for all eight of us to be comfortable. The kitchen is to die for, with every cooking accessory you could want. You can tell the owner truly loves to entertain - there were adorable cups and teaspoons and five different kinds of coffee and pods. Besides the gigantic kitchen (and island that seats 8), there was a full dining room, and multiple cozy seating areas on each floor. More than plenty of dishes, wine glasses, serving bowls, plates, etc. And the nice stuff too -- not the usual rental house fare. I almost forgot the towels! That's how you know an owner takes her hosting role seriously. Real fluffy soft towels - and 8 full sets for all of us. HOST: Incredibly communicative, responded within hours if not sooner, and left us a very thoughtful welcome basket - including purple themed gifts! And - when one of the group left her lipstick behind, she mailed it back. Would absolutely recommend for a group, large family(s), or anyone needing an amazing stay and backdrop in the area.

Polina and her group were an absolute pleasure to host! From beginning to end, communication was wonderful, and Polina was always friendly, thoughtful, and considerate. They were respectful of our home and treated it with such care, leaving everything in beautiful condition upon their departure. It is always a pleasure to welcome guests who make the hosting experience so easy and enjoyable, and Polina and her group were certainly no exception! I would be absolutely delighted to welcome them back to Shack on Judson anytime and would highly recommend Polina to any future host. Thank you, Polina, for being such wonderful guests!
