We live in the “Landhaus von Lossow,” a villa on the Elbe hillside in Loschwitz with a view of Dresden. Last year, we lovingly and meticulously renovated the former gardener’s apartment and converted it into a cosy holiday rental with its own terrace, living area, bedroom, and large bathroom. We’ve also added a sauna to the house, which guests are welcome to use by arrangement.
In total, the bedroom can accommodate 4 people (bed and pull-out couch), and the sofa bed in the living room can accommodate 2 people. Pets are allowed as long as they are well-behaved, quiet, and do not roam freely in our garden. We have 3 Maine Coon cats of our own who sometimes wander into the apartment, so the apartment is not suitable for people with severe allergies.
The apartment also features a fire pit at the top of the garden, offering a wonderful view over Dresden; we’ll provide firewood upon request. A parking space in the carport can also be made available if needed.
Restaurants, beer gardens, a cinema, the suspension railway, and the funicular, as well as shopping options, are all within walking distance. We live on a hill, which means the walk involves an uphill climb.
We’re a family of three with two Maine Coon cats and an Appenzeller Mountain Dog, and we’d love to share our beautiful home with people who respect our property and treat it with care. We also maintain very friendly relationships with all our neighbors. We’re considerate of one another and respect quiet hours.
Loschwitz is a beautiful area in Dresden, within walking distance of the Elbe River (10 minutes); the Malerweg hiking trail begins right behind our house. Day trips in the surrounding area take you through Oberloschwitz to the former vineyards—some of which are still in use—as well as to Weißen Hirsch and the Dresdner Heide. In the summer, you can enjoy a cool glass of wine and light snacks at the various wine taverns. By car, you can reach Dresden’s beautiful surroundings, such as Pillnitz, Radebeul, Meissen, and Saxon Switzerland. The city centre is a 20-minute ride by public transport from Körnerplatz.
In and around Dresden, various swimming areas invite you to take a dip both in summer and winter, and those who prefer cultural activities will find plenty of inspiration in Dresden.
