Its location between the Bodden lagoon and the sea, near the Darss Forest, provides a wide variety of holiday and excursion options. Ideal for bike tours or hikes through the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft Nature Reserve, carriage rides, and horseback riding. There are several bike rental shops in town.
