About the host
Hosted by Kim Keown
I am an artist, professor and film technician working in expanded cinema. I also love nature and plants. I have chemical sensitivities so have had a very hard time finding accommodations when I travel, so I wanted to provide a safe place for people who either prefer, or must adhere to, an environmentally friendly and healthy lifestyle while traveling.
Why they chose this property
I fell in love with the South Coast when family members brought me here. There are lovely beaches, an ocean and bay, walks in nature, good food, convenient shopping areas, a University, and the city of New Bedford which has a rich history and beautiful homes. Check out the last 5 pictures which depict some of the natural beauty in the surrounding area.
What makes this property unique
Our property is located just outside of the Russells Mills historic district. Part of the house existed in the 1700's and according to local lore was build on a foundation from up to a century before that. And yet with so much history, it has a sweet calm presence that allows relaxation and focus. We wanted to preserve both aspects when we preserved and renovated it.
