Welcome to your ultimate Cape Charles escape! This beautifully fully renovated, 2,490-square-foot historic Victorian home blends timeless 1920s architectural charm with modern amenities. Enjoy a brilliant, sun-drenched interior thanks to the home's premier southern exposure, or step outside to catch the refreshing bay breezes from your choice of outdoor living spaces. Unwind on the expansive, classic front porch, or fire up the grill and relax with a cold drink on your private back patio and deck.


Located on tree-lined Monroe Avenue, you are just a 2-minute walk to Central Park’s summer concerts, pickleball courts, and playground, and a short, easy stroll to the historic downtown shops, restaurants, galleries, and the calm waters of Cape Charles beach! A golf cart is included (signed waiver required to use), and dogs are welcome!

For guest safety and property security, this home uses a single exterior security camera located at the front entrance, monitoring the front entrance and front porch, and only records video and audio when motion is detected. There are absolutely no cameras, recording devices, or surveillance equipment of any kind located inside any interior spaces of this property.

This is the nicest and most comfortable home we have stayed in while in Cape Charles. The fenced back yard is lovely and perfect for the dogs. Locations is great, right by the park and close to beach and Main Street. The home had everything we needed and more. Beautifully updated and sparkling clean. We loved our stay!

This is a very lovely home. Its very clean and spacious enough for a large group.We only stayed for one night but JP our host was very accommodating. If the occasion arises we would love to book again for a longer stay.

We loved our stay! Our typical Cape Charles rental house was booked for our planned week and so we took a chance on this property and dare I say, loved it more than our regular rental! It's a lovely light filled space with just the right amount of Cape Charles charm. We won't hesitate to book it again.

This place was a real gem. Spacious, gorgeous kitchen to enjoy and gather around while cooking a meal. It had plenty of rooms to move around. Unfortunately the Nor eastern rain did not allow us to spend time in the lovely backyard, however we did take a moment to go walking around the neighborhood to get coffee and visit the downtown area. We will be back in the Spring. JP was a very attentive host. Thank you JP.

My family and I had a wonderful stay in this charming Cape Charles home! The pictures don’t do it justice!The location couldn’t have been better - the house is set back from the street with a nice sized front yard in a part of town that felt very peaceful. The house was spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained and every room felt relaxing and ready for guests. Everywhere in Cape Charles that you’d want to go is a short walk away; shops and restaurants, the park, the beach and the pier. The house itself blends original charm with thoughtful updates and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and each room was well designed and welcoming. We loved having the golf cart included as this kept us from the bother of renting and returning a cart. The golf cart made getting around town so fun and easy. The fenced-in backyard was especially wonderful for our family. It gave the kids a safe, contained space to play and made watching the kids easier. The backyard has a fire pit, grill, smoker, yard games and plenty of seating. Also having beach chairs, boogie boards, and other gear ready to go was a nice touch. This home made our beach vacation easy, relaxing, and memorable. We’d happily come back! Communication with our host was excellent—easy, direct, and efficient. JP was responsive, helpful, and made everything about our stay feel seamless.

What a delight! The front porch just begs you to sit on the comfy chairs and watch the world go by. The house has the original hardwood floors, except for kitchen and baths, and they’re spectacular. The kitchen and baths have been fully updated. The kitchen is well stocked, yet leaves plenty of room for whatever food you may bring. Beds are comfortable, sheets are 100% cotton. The house is very clean. The seating and fire pit in the backyard will call to you in the evening. I can’t say enough, so I’ll sum it up by saying, it’s like coming home.

This home was absolutely lovely and well appointed. The kitchen was sparkling clean with all of the utensils, cups, and cookware we needed for our stay. We also enjoyed the Moccamaster coffee machine which was very easy to use. There were more than enough bedrooms and bathrooms for our family. Our pup also loved the enclosed backyard. The included golf cart and beach necessities were also so convenient. Our host communicated quickly and was very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Cape Charles!

We were raised as military brats, so we've been around the globe a bit. Currently, we call the town of Clifton, VA home. We've been coming down to Cape Charles and making memories with family for over 15 years, we absolutely adore the town and people, and we are stoked to be able to share our home with everyone so they too can experience the awesomeness of Cape Charles.

Why they chose this property

We have the old house bug! We live in a circa 1900s house in Clifton, and when 609 Monroe came available in the Cape Charles historic district, we jumped. The neighborhood is peaceful, offering a real sense of serenity and calmness. It's a super vibe that melts away the stress of hectic lives and the bustle of the world.

What makes this property unique

It's luminous, which captivated us when we first visited. It embodies the lightness we feel when we spend time here, and we hope everyone who stays here will feel that too!
