Your temporary home is located in the basement of a Wilhelminian-style villa built in 1896, on a quiet side street with a park in the Zehlendorf villa district and near our famous Grunewald lakes, where you can go swimming. All public transport options (bus, U-Bahn, and S-Bahn) to the city centre are within a 5- to 10-minute walk. Supermarkets and restaurants are also right in the area. You’ll reach your apartment via a private little path. Since it’s located in the basement of the villa, there are a few steps leading up to the entrance. There, you’ll find a coat closet for your belongings, and from there you’ll enter the hallway, off of which a spacious bedroom, the living room, and the kitchen-diner branch off. The bedroom is furnished with two queen-size beds (1.40) and overlooks our small park across the street. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, fridge-freezer, electric kettle, and plenty of cooking utensils. There is no oven. The spacious dining table seats up to 10 people. From the kitchen, you’ll step out onto the beautiful terrace and from there into the garden. The bathroom is also accessible from the kitchen. It features a shower, toilet, and sink. You’ll find the washing machine at the end of the hallway in a wall cabinet. The living room features a sleeper sofa, a desk, and a monitor (no TV!). If the sleeper sofa is too narrow for two people, we’ve also provided an air mattress for you. There’s also a travel cot and a high chair. Please treat the items in the display cabinet with respect—they belonged to my late father. Our house is located on a very quiet side street in the centre of Berlin-Zehlendorf. The only noise comes from the bus that runs there, which you can take to city centre Berlin. Parking is easily available on the street near the house. In the apartment, you’ll find maps showing nearby restaurants, shops (many organic supermarkets and a weekly market), and the swimming lakes, all of which are just a few minutes away. The S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations are also just under a 10-minute walk away.<br>Dear guests, please note that the city of Berlin charges a tourist bed tax of 5% of the net nightly rate. Information and calculations are available on this website: Bettensteuer.de.. This tax is in addition to the Airbnb price. You’ll find the relevant forms in your apartment. Please also note that we have a garden and live an eco-friendly lifestyle. As a result, ants, small spiders, or other small creatures may occasionally be found in the apartment. Please be advised that we do not accept this as a valid reason for cancellation.
