This 1880s Victorian house was duplexed in the1920s and is now fully renovated, with a mix of Davis funkiness, antiques and mountain house charm. The unit for rent is one side of the building and has its own front door, facing Fairfax Avenue. On the main floor it has a half bath, living room, kitchen, dining room and laundry room. Upstairs there are two bedrooms connected by a shared ("Jack and Jill") bathroom. Parking is on the street along Fairfax Avenue directly in front of the house.

Why they chose this property

The Folk Victorian at 4th & Fairfax combines historic funkiness with newer design ideas. The Folk Vic is located at the north end of Davis and a short walk down 4th takes you to Stumptown Microbrewery and other Davis spots. Mountain bikers and gravel riders like the ample porch and nearby trailheads to the most iconic Canaan Valley trails. Out back we grow handy herbs you can use to cook and there is a large fire pit area with both wood fire grill and in-ground charcoal grill. And plenty of firewood. When it's time to go skiing, the superior ski rental shop called Driftland is just down the street. While the skiers in your group make the short drive to one of our three mountains, the rest of your group can walk to galleries, shops, restaurants, the playground or trails.
