About this property
Columbia Gorge - Mosier Bluff | River Views & Pool
Mosier Bluff Home: Columbia Gorge Views on Seven Private Acres
Set on 7.64 acres beneath Mosier Bluff in the Columbia River Gorge, this four-bedroom, two-bath home delivers sweeping Columbia River views, nearby access to the Mosier Plateau Trail, and open land to spread out on. Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Hood River is about 10 minutes west and The Dalles roughly 20 minutes east, so a real meal or a wine list is never far, even though the property itself feels like open country.
A note on the property: this listing is for the main house only. The 7.64-acre property includes three additional rental units, and long-term tenants may be present in those units at any time during your stay. Your space is fully private and independent, with its own entrance. A shared laundry room is located in the main house's garage and is used by other units on the property; the barn apartment has its own laundry. All other areas of the main house and deck are exclusive to your stay.
The Setting
The home sits below Mosier Bluff, framed by open farmland, cherry orchards, and the small vineyards Mosier is quietly known for. The Mosier Plateau Trail runs nearby, climbing to Mosier Creek Falls and Gorge overlooks that rank among the best short hikes in the region — genuinely rural, yet minutes from two of the Gorge's best small towns.
The Home
A double-sided, floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace anchors the main living space — wood-burning, and the natural gathering point on cool evenings. The full kitchen handles everything from a quick breakfast before a hike to a full dinner after wine tasting. Central AC keeps the home comfortable, and free WiFi is available throughout, though signal can vary depending on where you are on the property — network details are in your check-in guide and the printed guest binder in the kitchen. Every bedroom has its own TV, plus one each in the living room and kitchen — six in all, a mix of Roku and smart TVs set up so you can sign into your own streaming accounts. Board games and a cooler for day trips help you settle in fast.
Sleeping Arrangements
Four bedrooms and two full bathrooms give the group real separation, with three queen beds and two twin beds across the four rooms — sleeps up to 8.
Outside
The private deck is the best seat in the house for the river view, whether that's morning coffee or a sunset dinner off the gas grill. In-ground pool access is shared, not private: guests may use the seasonal pool (June through August) alongside the property's long-term renters. Usage conflicts are rare, but availability at any given moment isn't guaranteed. Deer, eagles, and hawks are frequent visitors, and the surrounding acreage gives dogs plenty of room to explore on leash.
Parking: one garage space, plus two additional spaces between the main house and the barn.

A Few Things to Know
This is a rural, acreage property beneath Mosier Bluff, and a car is required. Power and internet outages happen periodically in this part of the Gorge — pack accordingly if uninterrupted connectivity matters for your stay. Snow and ice can be present in winter, and reaching the home may require 4WD or another traction device. This road is plowed after routes with higher traffic priority, so check the forecast and plan travel accordingly during winter months.
Wildlife in this part of the Gorge can include mice, ticks, rattlesnakes, cougars, and other native species. Children and pets should be supervised when outside.
Who This Is For
Built for guests who want real distance from the everyday — dog owners who want room to roam, groups chasing Gorge wine country and river views, and anyone using Mosier as a base for hiking, cycling the Twin Tunnels, or windsurfing toward Hood River. It's less suited to guests who want walkable downtown amenities or a fully secluded, single-tenant property.
Seven private acres, a stone fireplace, and a Columbia River view most guests only see from a scenic overlook — this is a Gorge stay where the property is as much the destination as the region around it.
