Hemmet Strand is a quiet holiday area in West Jutland, located between Bork Havn and Skaven Strand, right on the Ringkøbing Fjord. It’s an ideal holiday destination for nature lovers and a great starting point for excursions: the North Sea (Holmsland Klit) is 10 km away, Legoland is 50 km away, Varde is 30 km away, Ringkøbing is 40 km away, and Esbjerg is 50 km away. Hemmet Strand is particularly popular and well-known for its perfect conditions for windsurfers and kitesurfers. But anglers and golfers will also find plenty to enjoy in this region of Denmark. The nearest windsurfing school and rental shop, as well as canoe and bicycle rentals, are located in Skaven Strand and Bork Havn. There are also shopping options and restaurants here. There are additional good shopping options in Nr. Nebel, Skjern, and Tarm. Tarm and Nr. Nebel both have excellent public swimming pools with sauna access. Sea-West, the activity centre in Nr. Nebel featuring a water park, a wellness area with a sauna, and a bowling alley, is about 10 km away.
