Vacation Apartment in the Heart of Paradise, Monte Paganuccio / Available. Nature and tranquility.
Our historic, secluded stone house overlooking Monte Paganuccio offers everything a nature lover could desire. At 500 metres above sea level, you can escape even the hottest summer days and enjoy our idyllic garden with olive trees, figs, apricots, magnolias, lavender, and pomegranates. The house is an excellent starting point for all kinds of outdoor activities. There are 400 km of marked mountain bike and hiking trails around the house, and we have horses on the property, so riding is a great option, or you can take a walk with our donkey. Monte Paganuccio offers everything that makes for a joyful experience in and around nature. Authentic Italian life. Wild horses, unspoiled nature, and as much peace and quiet as you could wish for. We don't have a pool and don't plan to build one; we enjoy the magnificent rivers all around and, of course, the gorge down in the valley. The Gola del Furlo is famous throughout Italy and is a wonderful swimming spot and meeting place. If you prefer something more secluded, feel free to ask us for insider tips. There are also swimming pools near the house that can be used. It doesn't suit our house; it's a beautiful, simple house. Around the house, there's not only the garden but also several master sculptures that are an integral part of the landscape. Our apartment consists of two bedrooms, a bathroom, a combined living room and kitchen, as well as two terraces with sunshades. Those who wish to use the apartment alone or as a couple also have the option of using the second bedroom as a living room and terrace room. The kitchen is made of elm wood directly from our forest; the marble, everything used, is regionally handcrafted on-site. You can enjoy the peaceful location to relax, participate in any kind of sport, and still be close to all kinds of excursions. A trip to the sea is just a stone's throw away (30km as the crow flies). The advantage is that you can immediately escape the hustle and bustle of the Adriatic. The nearest coastal town is Fano, one of the beautiful exceptions among coastal towns with a wonderful old town. We ourselves take excursions to Urbino (a city that is perfectly integrated, it couldn't be more Italian), a Renaissance metropolis with a vibrant youthful atmosphere due to the university. where it has stood for centuries. We take excursions to Monte Catria, go to the market in Cagli and Pergola, and in the summer we enjoy going to a concert in the piazza in Fossombrone, visiting Fonte Avellana (a medieval monastery), or going to San Marino. We are involved in breeding free-roaming horses and look after a herd of 100 horses on Monte Paganuccio, a national park. You can see the horses from your terrace on the mountain. We would be happy to take you and show you the mountain and its wonders. Our neighbors are very friendly and always welcome visitors, so you can move around freely and do whatever you like. In the evenings, you can barbecue in the garden or visit one of the many excellent restaurants in the village (6 km down into the valley). The local speciality is truffles. We have an 11-month season, and it even grows right by the house. The cuisine is very diverse; being close to the coast yet in the mountains means that everything on the menu, from hearty salsiccia to vongole and branzino, is fresh and regional. The vegetables here are of a very special quality, and the pasta is always homemade. You will discover a region in Le Marche that is truly unique. Even in peak season, it's not overly touristy and is breathtakingly beautiful and serenely charming at the same time. We've been here for almost 8 years and can't imagine a more beautiful place. If you are bringing pets, please note that they should be reliably recalled. We keep a number of animals (a kind of research project), including cats, chickens, wild animals, horses, donkeys, goats, etc., which should be treated with respect. We have a good network and can give you all sorts of tips about the country and its people, what's happening when and where, what's worthwhile and what isn't. Outside of the usual holiday season, autumn is one of the main attractions here, with many very interesting events centred around truffles (fiera del tartufo), and from October onwards also the highly sought-after white truffles, as well as horses (fiera cavallo del catria Chiaserna). It's still warm, but the summer heat is over, and it's one of the most interesting times of the year. In spring, there's a riot of colour like you'd expect in the south, and with the arrival of the foals on the mountain, Monte Paganuccio is truly declared paradise. The house has gas central heating and cosy wood-burning stoves, so it will remain comfortable even in autumn and winter. The house has its own very healthy water supply, and the wood for the stoves comes from our own forest, which we collect with a mule, thus maintaining our connection to nature and the region. What you will find is authentic, genuine Italy: nature, a warm culture and cuisine, inspiration and tranquility galore, and an absolutely unforgettable and truly wonderful holiday experience.
