Why they chose this property
Bear Paw Adventure’s unique log buildings are situated on 14+ acres of an old homestead site. This use of the property is the first since the homestead days. We have attempted to keep the site, to the extent practical, as we found it. Evidence of the homestead activities can still be seen on the land. The slope of the land protects the property, to some extent, from the brisk winds off Cook Inlet. It is a nearly wild site with lots of spruce trees, alders and wildflower and a great place to watch for moose, eagles, ravens and other wildlife.
What makes this property unique
The 14+ acre property offers are a great sample of real rural Alaska and the full-scribed log buildings with their Alaskan decor provide interesting and comfortable one-of-a-kind lodging. For those who come to Alaska to enjoy nature, this is the place to stay.
