About this property

Ocean-view Cabins on the Anchor Point Bluff

As far west as you can travel on Alaska’s highway system, our cabins sit on a private 5‑acre bluff property overlooking the Cook Inlet. Enjoy breathtaking ocean and volcano views of Augustine, Mt. Iliamna, and Mt. Redoubt, along with unforgettable sunsets and peaceful surroundings. This secluded retreat offers a true front‑row seat to Alaska’s dramatic coastal beauty.

The Douglas cabin comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests and features a main level with an open living area that includes a full kitchen, dining space, and a cozy sitting area with a sleeper sofa. The main‑floor bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, and the bathroom includes a private stand‑up shower. Heat is provided by a propane stove, keeping the cabin warm and inviting during cooler weather.

Upstairs, the loft offers two full beds and scenic views across Cook Inlet. A Pack ’n Play is available for guests traveling with young children. The cabin includes Wi‑Fi and a TV with Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure.

Outside, enjoy the private deck equipped with a grill—ideal for cooking up your fresh catch while taking in the surroundings. The property includes five rental cabins and is located just 15 miles from Homer, offering easy access to charter fishing, excellent dining, and the famous Homer Spit. Set slightly off the highway, the cabin provides added privacy and a quiet, memorable stay amid breathtaking natural beauty. It is also located just one mile from the Anchor Point River and Anchor Point beach access and boat launch.

Shared amenities include a gazebo with fire pit, griddle, picnic tables, fish‑cleaning station, hammock, and viewing deck, creating plenty of space to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Wildlife sightings are common, adding to the authentic Alaskan experience. For safety, children should be supervised outdoors due to nearby bluff edges.

The Douglas Cabin offers a rare blend of comfort, seclusion, and unforgettable scenery—making it an ideal base for fishing, wildlife viewing, and experiencing Alaska’s rugged coastal beauty.

Perfect Hosts and Amazing Views!!

The cabin could not be more perfect! It was clean, the views breathtaking, comfortable and cozy and an easy commute to Homer. The Hosts went above and beyond. I was the Mother of the Bride for my daughters destination wedding. My luggage never made it so I was scrambling to find something to wear. The host made sure I knew all the local shops,etc... They were always quick to respond to all our questions and needs. They even put an iron and steamer in the cabin in case we needed it. Anchor Point also has a nice community fire pit and gazebo we used that was awesome. I highly recommend our host Kevin and Lauren and Anchor Point Cabins. They were AWESOME!!
