We have two separate lovely, private condo-style suites with views of Lake Kalamazoo (Saugatuck's Harbor) and Coughlin Park in Saugatuck's downtown Historic District, steps away from premier shopping, dining and boating opportunities.
This listing is for Suite #1 (Amani Suite) which is located on the main floor at the back of the Amazwi Contemporary Art gallery building. See Listing # 40745 for information on Suite #2 (Ndoto Suite) which is on the second floor above the gallery.
The suites are located near the Saugatuck Center for the Arts where entertainment options range from live theater and music performances to workshops for the budding artist, and weekly Farmers' Market in the Summer. Stroll through town to the hand-cranked Chain Ferry that crosses the Kalamazoo River, then walk or take the Inter-Urban bus to world-renowned Oval Beach.
Art Lovers: during your stay, guests of Amazwi Suites enjoy a 10% discount on purchases at the Amazwi gallery, offering original fine art paintings, sculpture, jewelry and unique crafts from Africa.
2-night minimum stay required, except for the three big holiday weekends of Summer (Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day) when 3 nights are required.

Amazwi gallery offers contemporary African paintings, sculpture, jewelry and unique crafts. 'Amazwi' is the Zulu word for voices, and out mission is to bring the voices (as communicated through their choice of media) of African artists and artisans to Southwest Michigan.
Why they chose this property
This is a great 'in-town' location because it is within walking distance of everything, yet it is on a side street removed from the restaurants and bars so there is not street/sidewalk traffic at night. Across the street is Coughlin Park and views of Lake Kalamazoo Harbor.
