You will not have to battle traffic or fight for parking in Yosemite West, nor will you be choking on campfire smoke. Yosemite West is extremely peaceful and quiet even during the big holiday weekends. You can save lots of money by preparing your own meals in the spacious and fully equipped kitchen while enjoying the sunset on the edge of the wilderness. Note this is a duplex and the owner/groundskeeper lives in the separated (100% firewall) unit below and to the right.

Property exactly as advertised. Good proximity to the Valley and Glacier Point if either of these are on your itinerary. Bill (host) super responsive and is exactly the kind of host you want for this type of accommodation if you're unfamiliar with the surroundings. We had a great time and the lodging was a big part of it. Thanks Bill!

Amazing location in Yosemite West! Host Bill knowledge of the park & surrounding areas super helpful. Thanks for your advice on scenic drive to Sequoia. The place was perfect. Kitchen and linens well stocked. Loved the climbing photos (bet some of those are you Bill). 10/10 will definitely recommend this to family/friends.

Overall was good for one night. Host was very friendly and great communication. Everything was clean except for the water reservoir in the coffee maker so I just used the French press and the shower curtain in downstairs bathroom was moldy. Air conditioning didn’t work and that’s one of the reasons I chose the home because it said it had ac, but it was cool at night to open the windows and have fans going so that was fine. Definitely bring your own pillows though because the pillows were so flat I woke up with neck ache and headache; beds were comfortable. Was very convenient being inside the park and only 35minutes to main areas including Yosemite Village Parking lot. Peaceful and beautiful views of trees outside back deck to have coffee in the morning.

The place was in a very quiet and peaceful area surrounded by trees and amazing views. The host was responsive and friendly. Everything was clean, well laid out, and beds were comfortable. My favorite part was the photos on the walls and the collection of mountaineering and climbing books! We used most of the items in the kitchen and it was very well stocked. We will certainly be back to enjoy Yosemite and this is a good basecamp in the winter.

After growing up in Wisconsin I finally moved in 1980 to Yosemite to climb the rocks and mountains. In the winter I enjoy skiing the winter snows and when the snow melts into river water I use the same water for kayaking, rafting and fly fishing. I have worked as a rock climbing guide and instructor at the Yosemite Mountaineering School since 1993 and I'm very familiar with all the scenic and recreational opportunities available in and around Yosemite 12 months a year.

Yosemite Park Way is at the end of the road and in a less built-up part of Yosemite West. This insures less noise and traffic.
