This 4 bedroom, 2 bath home is the great place for a family getaway. The 4th bedroom above the garage has a full size bed and pull out sofa. It contains a TV with DVD's of many popular movies. The house is wifi enabled but the cell reception is weak. Sometimes a blessing! The private sandy beach is a great place to play or relax on a beautiful summer day. Jump off the diving board, wade into the river, or take one of the 2 canoes out for an adventure. For the boating enthusiasts we have a secure dock. The Squam River leads directly to Little Squam lake and then Big Squam for a day on the water. The long driveway is paved and perfect for bikes and trikes for the toddlers. The spacious gardens provide additional space for outdoor games or to shoot hoops in the driveway. The big wrap around porch is a great place to enjoy the views or have an outdoor family dinner.

We stayed at Dave’s house for two weeks in August 2021. The location is great, water is warm, house is fully equipped.
Fishing is excellent. Ping pong table in the garage was perfect for a rainy day.
There are a lot of things to do nearby. White Mountains is a short drive away.
Dave was a great host. He answered my questions promptly before and during our stay.
This was our 2nd year staying at Dave's lake house. The house is very conducive to a family stay with 4 separate sleeping areas, including a large bedroom/bonus room above the garage that is separate from but connected to the rest of the house. He replaced the deck this year with a beautiful, wrap around deck that overlooks the water. The sandy beach and shallow entrance is perfect for the kids to swim and build sand castles, and the location is very private with the only abutting neighbor not present for the two different weeks we've stayed in July. Access to little and big Squam lakes by boat is easy and convenient. We had some issues with the trash not being picked up, and Dave was very responsive to make sure it was not an issue. He provides all the toys you'd need to have a great time from a ping pong table to canoes, a basketball hoop, wiffle ball bats/balls, fishing poles. Worth a look if you are looking for something in this great area of NH for a small/medium sized family.
Cute chalet house. Directly on the water. Perfect for the little one’s (2,3&5). Water is low for the grandkids to enjoy. Wrap around deck is great. Could use replacing, I’m sure it’s on Dave’s “Honey-Do list. All and all a great stay with the family. Dave, you should put a guestbook, I would have loved to read the entries. Loved the framed letter on the kitchen wall
The property was as described- there was more cookware than we expected. Very comfortable for the 7 of us. We were very lucky with weather and it only rained one time but we did some shopping at the outlets. Simon premium outlets were about an hour away where we got really great deals! We had 2 smaller children with us and the location on the water was perfect for them. No crazy boating traffic or large wakes to be concerned with. The sandy area was perfect to drive the boat onto to leave the dock open for the kids to tie their floats to. They thought it was very “cool” to dock the boat and eat at Walters Basin for lunch. It was a nice week and any small issues were addressed by communication with owner. Enjoy!

great location, quiet
Enjoyed our stay. Place was clean. We ate our meals outside on the deck - it was so nice out there. Great location, would be great if we had a boat, but we loved being away from things but close enough to enjoy a quick outing for a nice meal or to get supplies.

This is a great place to get away.
This is a nice house to stay in. It was clean and has a nice kitchen with everything we needed to prepare a meal. The upstairs room over the garage was great for watching movies. Good location. It's on the river so it takes about 10 minutes to get out to Little Squam but it's nice & quite there. Fishing was really great near Potato Island on Big Squam and there was an abundant number of small fish off the dock. Fishing bait was close to the house, just down the road. The house has a nice sandy beach plus the public beach is within walking distance. We would definitely consider staying here again. Thank you to the Sharkey's for sharing your lovely house with us. We had a great time.

Rest & relaxation
Our group has rented houses in this area for four years and this was by far the best. The house was well set up for two couples and their teenage children. We could relax and enjoy the scenery, take a ride on the one family's boat to Big or Little Squam, or take an easy drive to the area attractions. The small beach is ideal for watching the area wildlife. Several restaurants are just a short drive away and we visited most of our favorites during the week-The Common Man, The Mug, Biedermans and Walter's Basin. Best of all was feeling months of stress just melt away. The owners are great about keeping in touch both before and during the stay. We hope to come back next year.
