About the host
Hosted by Chris Campana
I grew up in the Bay Area and for many years our entire family would spend days and weekends in Santa Cruz. My wife grew up about 20 minutes from the beach on the west coast of Denmark and is a huge fan of the coastal lifestyle. She and I met in Monterey while we were in graduate school 30 years ago.
Why they chose this property
We bought this house after looking for a place to call our second home for more than two years. The first time we walked into the house we immediately knew that this was the place for us. It is peaceful, relaxing, and light, characteristics that allow us to leave behind our busy schedules of work, school, and homework during the week!
Our kids love Santa Cruz, and spending time on the West Side is a great fit because of the proximity to the beaches, surf, and cool people. And good food. We love to ride beach cruisers, road bikes, and mountain bikes... and this area is perfect.
It’s been our dream to own a home in Santa Cruz so that our kids could experience the lifestyle we had enjoyed and the lessons we had learned as children and young adults. We look forward to spending many years at this house, but we are still working in the Bay Area so we won't be living here full time for a while.
