The photos don’t do it justice. This place is larger, more comfortable and way nicer. We really loved the view of the bay from the huge picture window and watching the pelicans that seem to live in front of the cabin. We were a little sad to leave this special place!
The location was wonderful. The cabin was clean but the windows could not be opened because of dead bugs in the window sill and the screens were not attached to the house properly. There was also cob webs.
Property was plain, but relaxed and comfortable. Beautiful setting overlooking Green Bay. Remote out in the country location, a little too far from town to be convenient. Would have preferred a location east of Sturgeon Bay further up the peninsula. Good spot to do bike rides and walk out dogs and see birds.
One big reason we booked this property was the lake view. The weeds in front of the window partially blocked that beautiful lake. We had to stand up to look at the water. Not visible from the chair or couch. The weeds also attracted lots of bugs on the window.

Sunset Cottage Sturgeon Bay
We stayed at Sunset Cottage for 5 days. The cottage is on a cliff overlooking the water and offers an amazing view. It does have access to the lake by stairs, but no dock going out on the water. We did do some fishing down by the water and caught a fish. The sunsets are just beautiful.
Inside, the cottage is pretty spacious and comfortable, but does need some updating. We found the rooms to be very clean and the kitchen has everything you need. Bed is comfortable, shower and plumbing works well. The living room window offers a great view of the lake, but also has the afternoon sun come in and heat up the living room a lot. There are curtains on the window, but they cannot be closed fully. A/C is only in the bedroom.
All in all we had a good stay, especially after the owner sent somebody out to remove overgrown greenery and treated the property for bugs so we were able to go down to the water.
Property manager was very good about coming out when we found weather stripping was missing in the door. Would be a great stay in the fall. Sturdy steps to get down to the water, but not easy access because of the rocky bottom in the water near shore.
Stayed for Father’s Day weekend. It’s better than the pictures give it credit for. A great little cottage with nice property and an amazing view! At night you can hear the waves crashing on the shore and it’s so relaxing.
Fantastic view, peaceful and ability to disconnect
This property was such a deal. Loved the no internet and incredible view of the bay. Fireplace, fire pit, chairs and a charcoal grill all provided. We will be back!
Very quiet and secluded. Complete relaxation getaway!

Not great
The cabin plumbing is in need of work. Lots of ants inside. There is no dock. The bed is comfortable. No internet service. I feel like it was not advertised right. We left a day early since it wasn't a good place. Reading all the reviews in the book on the table makes me wonder if they just don't care about it anymore. Since there was lots of positive replays. Oh well I just won't stay there anymore.
The Sunset Cliffs cottage did not disappoint. Very cute and comfortable and the evening sunsets were stunning. It was very relaxing to unplug and relax!

Sunset Cabin
We enjoyed the property. Sunsets were spectacular. A little cumbersome having to drive into Sturgeon Bay for keys and then 12 or so miles back west to the property.
Great peaceful stay! Location is awesome and price was great and our pup loved it too!

Thank you for your feedback and we are happy to hear that you liked the location of this property, and had a great time! Happy to hear that your pup loved it too! We hope that you will come again in the furture!
We absolutely loved our stay at the sunset cottage! The pictures online didn’t do it justice. We were there Halloween weekend and even though it was a little chilly, we stayed warm with the fire pit outside and fire place inside. We are hoping to make it a tradition to stay at this place every year :)

Property is perfect for a couple. Great view of Green Bay. Telescope was a nice touch to see up close for things way out in the bay or all the way across to the opposite land. Everything worked as described. Very limited cell phone coverage & no Wi-Fi but you are in a rustic cottage away from everything.
The cottage was so-so, but the area and sunsets were amazing. Check-in was great even though we arrived ahead of 4pm. She confirmed with the owner the place had been cleaned recently, which I find hard to believe. Upon arrival, we quickly noticed the exterior had not been maintained for quite awhile. Unmowed grass, overgrown weeds, spider webs everywhere. And with an overgrown yard next to the water in July come bugs. SO MANY BUGS! There were spiders, mosquitos, flies, flying ants, gnats and wasps covering the outside of the cottage. The wasps have made a home within the wood siding just outside the bedroom window. The yard has a cute fire pit area we could have enjoyed in the evenings to keep the bugs away, but there were poisonous spiders on the patio furniture & cushions so we decided to steer clear. Again, no way was it cleaned recently. I wish I had noticed the pic of the exterior was taken in the winter when none of this is a problem. Also no dock or shoreline as shown in the pics either. The staircase down to the water is so overgrown with foliage/weeds I wasn't about to find out what other bugs and such were in there. Once we were able to make it inside, the place wasn't necessarily clean and the front door and frame NEED to be replaced. The screen door is warped leaving about 2" between it and the front door. The door frame is rotted out and has a hole that has been stuffed with duct tape--great first impression. Dead mosquitos lined the window sills, tables and counters. Again, no way was it cleaned recently. We later realized the mosquitos and flying ants were coming in around the window frames as they either need to be resealed or replaced. We were forced to buy cleaner for the interior and exterior just to feel like we could relax. The layout of the cottage is cute and spacious, but the poor window ac unit in the living room can't handle the square footage of the place. Another unit is really needed in the bedroom. It would have been nice to open the windows at night, but that was a no-go with the bug situation outside. Plus side, we were able to take advantage of the new Weber charcoal grill outside by buying tiki citronella torches and the sunset views were AWESOME! The town is so incredibly cute--lots to do! Overall, this place has so much potential to be fantastic for couples to relax, but maintenance is needed!!!!! We'd consider coming back in the winter, but will never visit again in the summer unless these issues are fixed!!

Great place, overpriced
Had to pay an extra fee for pets, which is understandable but even without the fee I would say the stay is a little pricey. Very relaxing, enjoyed our stay. Wish the dock was more user friendly.
