Beautiful Cabin Retreat
We decided to stay here for a few short days for a winter cabin getaway. We had no problem finding the place even arriving in the dark. We arrived at night and were not expecting so much ice near the top of the driveway (was at an incline). Initially our SUV got stuck on some ice. Luckily Margaret appeared from the cabin next door and helped us navigate better. She was gracious enough to let myself and my baby inside while my husband finished parking. The following morning she came and put more sand and salt out for us which was very kind of her. She even came to check on us. We really enjoyed our stay. Communication was great with the hosts and they even informed us about potential snow and ice prior to our arrival. We loved utilizing the fire pit outdoors and the fireplace inside (both gas and easy to use). We also loved cooking in the cabin and were provided with any utensils we might have needed. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The only con we experienced was that some items like spices and condiments in the kitchen were past expiration. However, luckily we had brought our own. However, we would still highly recommend this quaint cabin. We would love to return in the future.

Christmas family of 3
Beautiful setting, deck and lovely cabin tastefully decorated. Ample cooking equipment & comfortables living room w gas fireplace. Only drawbacks are very uncomfortable old droopy mattress in front bedroom & minimal parking -accommodates only one vehicle esp in snowy steep driveway.

Views 😍 so many different things to do in the area
We were there for 5 nights and had the best time. Beautiful views from the wonderful deck. I can’t imagine beating that deck with any vacations in the future. Cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. My 8 year old son and my hound dog had the time of their lives outside. Hope to come back some day.

Simple yet magnificent
Our daughter and her family stayed here 3 years ago and loved it. We planned a last minute trip and decided to stay at Bear Run from their recommendations. It did not disappoint. Simple living with a magnificent view of the mountain. Tranquil!
