Such a fun and interesting place to stay. All the necessary amenities were provided and my stay was quite comfortable. The location can't be beat with shopping and restaurants within walking distance.
It was exactly as advertised. The location was great. Right downtown within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Had to pay for parking during the day, but was free overnight. Melissa was very responsive each time I had a question. Would stay here again if ever in Taos area.
Very dark dangerous with no light and overgrown entry slippery and uneven floors.

When I first read this review I thought “crazy”. When I re read it I think this was a guest who just did not appreciate old structures and historic buildings.
The row of little houses on this street were build in the 1880’s. There are many stories about the history of this street. I love to share those stories with my guests- ghosts, ladies of the night, naughty priests and secrets…
I loved the beamed ceiling, tiny fireplace, little niches, secret side yard and the worn wooden floors. Yes it was dark but I have many lamps and two ceiling lamps with fans.
Also, I don’t remember any other guest saying the entry was too overgrown or slippery. This apartment is streetside and it’s central location to the Plaza area is something guests love.
I would only ask prospective guests to read through my reviews and come to your own conclusions.
If old/historic is not your choice we do have any number of motels in town. Something for everyone.
We suggest:Curtain over the kitchen. Next door kitchen workers can see into our kitchen. There should be a curved shower curtain holder to rovide more room in shower.Parking issues not friendly. Parking to far away during day at additional cost!Re-parking else were during day at metered lot not friendly.Throw carpets on floor very slippery and dangerous. We rolled up and store under bed.Access to streaming channels should be including in room rateRoom over priced considering parking issues. However we enjoyed our stay over all.
Melissa’s space was very easy to find, in a great location and was much more spacious than we thought it would be.She’s very accommodating for pets, we brought our dog and sheets were provided for the couch so our dog could be comfortable while we were there. We felt very at home and the surrounding area was very walkable!

This was an amazing stay. Location is great. House has everything you need to cook a quick breakfast or store your leftovers. The house is also well decorated and has a lot of nice homey touches! Checking in was easy. Only thing to be aware of is the the parking. It's free from 5pm-10am and free on Sundays. Outside of these hours, you have to park a block away, or pay on the parking lot which ends up being about 1.50 per hour. We were able to find parking but I could imagine when it's busier, you might have a harder time.

Thanks for your review.
I totally understand your frustration regarding parking.
The town Lot was always free. That encouraged
Locals to come downtown to the Plaza and welcomed visitors to shop and eat.
The debate on this has now gone on for two years. So many meetings and changes. We downtown residents and business people are not giving up and are arguing for a change every day.
Super cute apartment! it was the perfect stopover for two nights in the middle of the road trip!

The adress advertised was wrong it was several doors down ? I wasn't the only one confused. And I had to confront the person in the # apt. That I originally paid for. Before realizing it changed , there was no BBQ grill or record player and the key is stuck in the door sure its in a lobby!, i but who cares.. its not a locked door...We loved the garden and the quirky new mexico art as well as the location.

I find your review confusing!
I let you know I was upgrading your stay to a different apartment and my reason. I felt having water during your stay was important!
If you had trouble with a key and had contacted me immediately I would have been able to assist you.
I have always responded immediately to any questions or concerns from my guests at all of my homes and receive gratitude in return
Exactly as advertised and the perfect spot for a long ski weekend. Best of both worlds - easy drive to ski and right in the heart of Taos for afternoon/evenings! Would definitely stay here again.
