This charming traditional-style adobe home with viga ceilings, wood burning fireplace, and a flagstone covered patio, sits on a hilltop offering expansive views of the Taos Mountains and the Wheeler Peak range. Located just 5 miles from the Taos town center, this comfortable and quiet family home is only minutes away from restaurants, shopping and local attractions. The Taos ski valley, which is only 13 miles away, offers a multitude of outdoors activities year-round.
Custom Saltillo tiled radiant heated floors in the living areas and bathrooms provide warmth in the winter months. In the summer months, the interior remains cool because of self-insulating adobe exterior walls.
A modern kitchen comes fully equipped with dishwasher, oven/range, refrigerator, microwave, blender, toaster, coffeemaker, pots, pans, and tableware. Six guests can comfortably dine at the custom-carved table with a large window wall view of the Taos Mountain. Your group will want to take turns with their seating arrangements to enjoy the gorgeous view!
A charcoal grill is located right outside the dining area on a separate flagstone patio. A patio table and chairs are located under the front portal with sweeping views of the Mountains.
The front bedroom contains a king-size bed and a window wall with the same sweeping mountain view. The second bedroom contains a queen-sized bed with one double window and is tucked into the hillside for a quiet, restful sleep.
The gathering room (living room) has a Spanish wood-burning fireplace that beckons all to come together to visit, laugh, read, play table games, or watch cable TV. A full-size sofa opens into a queen-size bed.
The viga ceilings are throughout the house and bring an ambiance that draws folks from far and wide who seek the Taos experience within a southwestern adobe home.
