Lovely space, clean, comfortable and had everything we need. Close to our family in MidCity, great bars and cafes within walking distance and easy drive or Uber to anything else. Excellent and easy communication with the host. Will book again!
We loved our stay at the Okra Inn! Plenty of space for our whole party and located right in the heart of New Orleans. I would definitely stay here again
The house was perfect. Location great! Would love to come back!

Response from VrboOwner on 3 June 2022
Phil actually booked with us for Jazz Fest 2020 (April of 2020). He stuck with us through the City's multiple failed attempts to have Jazz Fest during covid. Eventually they had Jazz Fest in spring of 2022 and Phil's group finally was able to stay. They were very respectful guests who left the space in great shape. Phil is definitely welcome back anytime!
Great central location near public transportation or easy to drive around. Wonderful, helpful hosts. Charming accommodations with everything a large group could want (kitchen and a place to hang out!)
My friends and I had a wonderful time in the home! It was beautifully decorated with festive New Orleans decor and the multiple bathrooms were a major plus
This property is wonderful especially for a big group. So comfortable and convenient! Space for everyone to spread out and enjoy. Louisiana decor and southern comfort was excellent!
The property is actually a duplex that's connected in the middle so you have two of everything. My friends and I came from all over to spend a nice weekend in New Orleans and this proved perfect for us. The place is a bit rustic - as shown in the pictures- but it has everything you need. As I mentioned in the title, we particularly like the location. Lots of good restaurants in the area and an easy trolley ride down to the French quarter.
Property was perfect for our 6 adult friends for the weekend. Very close to great restaurants and grocery store. Trolley or Uber to all the action in minutes and then relax in this quiet historic home to sleep and relax during the morning. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a group or large family getaway!!!
Enjoyed a weekend getaway with a few friends. We had plenty of room in the house. It was a close walk to the trolly and in walking distance to a Walgreens if we needed items. We will definitely be staying here again!
We housed a total of 22 family members between the 2 properties we rented. The Mid-City location was close to everything. The properties had all the charm of the old shotgun style houses typical of New Orleans.

Great big house in a lovely neighborhood.
We brought a big family reunion into Mid-City and The Okra Inn served us so well as a home. It had all the amenities we could want and was smack in the center of a vibrant and lovely neighborhood. Plus extremely convenient to bus/streetcar to access Uptown/Garden District/Quarter/Bywater. Hosts are the sweetest. So pleased. Would absolutely book again.
The set up was just what we needed. Great location as well. Lots of restaurants to walk to. Unfortunate for us the city decided to tear up the sidewalk in front of the house and along the street. Not the fault of the owners as they have no prior warning when they will work. We made it work but it caused an inconvenience that couldn’t be helped.

Lovely NOLA home!
We stopped in NOLA on the way to Destin from TX. I brought a girl scout troop of 10 girls and 5 moms to this cute duplex in Mid City, it was a little tight but we expected that. We loved the beautiful detail and design. It was so easy to get everywhere as the next street (canal) had streetcars. I recommend buying jazzy pass online for this. Lindsay had great recommendations for restaurants and activities. Thank you! I look forward to going to NOLA again!
Lindsey’s property was perfect for our large group. With 6 bedrooms and 3.5 baths it was a perfect accommodation for all of us. Beds are really comfortable and bathrooms are clean. We rented the whole house and enjoyed having access to all the space her house provided. Great location being so close to restaurants and bars and a Walgreens is a stone throw away if you need anything. Lindsey was a great host and a was willing to accommodate our check in and check out times and checked in to see if we needed anything. She also had some really wonderful suggestions on dinner and what to do in the area. Definitely check out Katie’s just 4 blocks down, best charbroiled oysters. The noise level was mild with it being closer to some bars but only if the patrons were being extremely rowdy, you couldn’t hear the noise in the rooms at the back of the house.
The street car is very close and easy to use, Lindsey gave us great advice to download the app which made buying tickets easier. It’s not a very long ride and does have AC. I would definitely come back k and suggest this property to any large groups visiting NOLA!
The property was exactly as described by the owner and the commenters. It is situated in the best location to see all of your favorite sights without the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas (Bourbon Street). We were able to walk to great restaurants in the area and the local bar The Red Door which stays open just about all night. Hands down it was the best time I've had in NOLA in a long time.
