Ocean & Mountain views, Large Open Floor-plan, Family, Kid, and Pet friendly
If its fun and relaxation you're looking for, The Harrington Lagoon Hideaway is your place. Have fun creating memories and trips to look forward to. Located minutes away from the historical town of Coupeville on Whidbey Island, this house offers not only a peaceful sanctuary, but a stepping-stone to the magical waters of the Puget Sound. This house is on a huge corner lot with a neighbor on one side and the Lagoon on the other.
Upon arrival to The Harrington Lagoon Hideaway you'll have plenty of parking room for your guests and your toys including a Boat, Travel Trailer, or RV. The front and back lawns are large enough to accommodate most outside activities. A huge front deck will give you and your guests plenty of room to enjoy the warm morning sunrise and the cool evening sunsets. In the back of the house, a covered patio will give you and your guests shelter outside if the weather turns rainy, or a nice retreat from the sun on those hot summer days.
At The Harrington Lagoon Hideaway, you'll enjoy views of the Puget Sound, Mt. Baker, and Camano Island. Also, an unobstructed view of the Harrington Lagoon, which is home to many different species of wildlife including: Bald Eagles, Blue Herons, King Fishers, Osprey, numerous water fowl, and even sea otters on occasion. Deer are often spotted in the area too. Of course here, salmon fishing is more than just a hobby; it's a way of life. If you have a boat, bring it! We have a community boat launch that you can use at your leisure. The launch will put you just minutes away from Penn Cove. This is where the world famous Penn Cove mussels are harvested and shipped across the nation. Also a few minutes away, by boat is Oak Harbor (by car about fifteen minutes). Here you can enjoy most of the amenities that a big city would offer but with a small island appeal. A short drive from The Harrington Lagoon Hideaway is the Keystone/Port Townsend ferry. Here you can take the ferry to the Olympic Peninsula. This is a 45 minute ferry ride one way. The location of the home is unique because there are so many different things to do and see but all are either minutes away or a short drive.

Lots of space in a quiet neighborhood (except for occasional jets from naval base) with nice view. Great personal retreat from busy Seattle and centrally located on the Island. I will rent again in the future.
This home was in a great location, was clean and the owners were extremely communicative. The views were great and the home had everything we needed. Thank you for a great stay!

Thank you for contacting me Tina about your review. I am happy you all had a great time and you loved our home.
Here is a copy of the message Tina sent me.
Hi there, I am so sorry, but I meant to leave 5 stars for you and hit send too soon. I contacted VRBO and they said I can't modify a review that has already been approved. So frustrating. Again, my apologies.
this house was a great location for exploring the Island. Lots of beaches on Whidbey! The beach across the street was not really accessible due to the lagoon inlet and privacy signs posted. The house was well stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for 8 days! We had. truly wonderful time.
We loved the location of the house for our sisters’ vacation. It was great for relaxing and going from one end of the island to the other. The house was definitely one of the best furnished for anything we needed that we have ever stayed in. We would stay here again.
The house was perfect was our week at Whidbey Island. The house was centrally located on the island, easy to get to all the fun! House had everything we needed and is in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Very clean home and well maintained.
Lovely, clean well equipped home in a great location. We truly enjoyed our relaxing stay. It gave us a great opportunity to connect with our adult kids. Our only concern was the wifi spotty. This is a consideration for guests who work while on vacation. We recommend upgrading if possible.
Tha kitchen had every tool and utensil imaginable. Lots of privacy since it is on a dead end road. Very comfy beds and plenty of space for my husband to get around in his wheelchair. If you are traveling with children, there are toys and activities galore.
The kitchen was stocked better than any we have stayed at. Beds comfortable. Good location. The host communicates very well. The power was out in the area prior to our arrival and they kept in frequent contact as the day progressed. Happily it was restored just as we were a few minutes out. We will stay again!
Check in was seamless. Pretty view of the lagoon and rocking chairs on the front porch. The house was clean and the kitchen was very well stocked. There were toys for the children and the neighborhood was very nice and quiet. Very close to Coupeville, Langley and Oak Harbor. We will stay there again at some point.
This is an amazing property. Suzan has everything you need . If your traveling with children you will have plenty of games, coloring books , puzzles etc. It is super clean and the beds were so comfortable. We will be back .
We enjoyed our stay, mostly due to the cleanliness, roominess and location of the property. The house itself and the surrounding neighborhood are older and the view is partial. Otherwise, check in was smooth and communication was great.
Nice house with lots of room, excellent kitchen, accommodating hosts. We were here as a base for car shows on Saturday and Sunday. It was a great comfortable place to land and relax. Local folks came by to see the cars and talk, take some pictures.
Here are a couple suggestions - the outside of the front of the house could use a good pressure washing - it's appearance, when we got there, made me worry, but turned out the inside was immaculate. There was only one single bed in the one bedroom, we didn't need it but it shows 2 in the pics on VRBO

Thank you for your review. I’m glad you all enjoyed your stay. Yes the house needs a pressure wash and probably new paint. I’ll add that to my off season check list. As for the second twin bed, it’s a trundle bed so it pulls out from under the frame.
Thank you for stay at The Harrington Lagoon Hideaway.

This home is very clean and inviting. The kitchen was stocked with every cooking tool we could possibly need and the beds had mattress toppers that were super comfortable. Communication with the host was quick, friendly, and easy. Our dog loved playing on the beach and with some of the house toys. I misunderstood the listing and thought maybe part of the yard was fenced in but it’s not— my mistake! There are a lot of other dogs around the neighborhood so we just kept ours on a lead and an eye out for others that were wandering at times. We had a wonderful time and would love to stay again someday.
The house felt like we were staying at home. The place is very comfortable with all the features of home. Plenty of pots, pans, cooking utensils, comfortable beds and a good wifi. The location is another plus for us since we were able to launch our kayak from just down the street. The only negative was the US Navy touch and goes during one night but that is an issue everywhere on Widbey Island. Coupeville is just a short drive from the house and a wonderful place to just walk around. The house has air conditioning but we did not need it. Close up the house during the day and open the windows at night. We would recommend this place for somewhere to stay on Widbey Island.

We loved the location and the house
Two things kept me from giving a 5 star rating.....
1. Water pressure disappeared after the 1st 2 days......could hardly take a shower.
2. Beds were really hard. This is kind of personal I know because some folks like hard beds.

I am so sorry that unbeknownst to me (community had the wrong email address)the community well pump broke down. If you would of utilized the phone numberes of contact we both would of understood the issue. I did not know of the issue until your departure, when I went there to prepare for the next renter. I'm sorry the beds were to hard for your liking. I know pillow tops are not for everyone. I do hope with all the issues you incurred that hopefully you enjoyed your time on Whidbey Island and Harrington Lagoon.
We found this vacation home on beautiful Whidbey Island. It was just the getaway we needed.
Home had everything we needed to relax and unwind.
Located in quiet community near the beach. It appealed to me because I like to 🦀 fish. I was able to use the private community boat ramp and the fishing was excellent nearby off shore. There was just the 2 of is this time, but this home is large enough to bring more of family on our next visit. It was easy to reach our Host for questions if we had them. We look forward to our next stay. Thanks
Ryan & I met down in Harrington Lagoon in 2002. A year later we were married and looking forward to building our family. We purchased our vacation home in 2005 and began right away to remodel the home. Both of us put much love and labor into making this home perfect for not only our family but for all the vacationers that would soon become part of our extended family. To us this was not only a business but a chance to share with others the perfect beach getaway.
