Great stay at the blue bird cabin. Everything needed for a quiet stay in the Sawthooth mtns. Owners know the area well and can provide a wealth of information of things to do here. Can't go wrong staying here.

This was our first stay in Stanley and it was wonderful. The cabin had everything we needed for our small family and pup. We had a few days of rain from the hurricane but made the best of it and the cabin was a great home base. The owners were incredibly helpful with the rental and the surrounding area. Highly recommend!
Well appointed cabin close to wonderful hiking trails. Peaceful and quiet. Internet was weak.

Old cabin, but full of character and charm
Very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Air conditioning would have been VERY helpful, but then again it was unusually hot for the Stanley area. Jim was very helpful, knowledgeable and kind.

Lovely little place!
We had such a lovely visit! The cabin provides all the amenities you could want, including homemade cookies and wine! We loved the covered upstairs deck and yes, even saw a couple bluebirds. Next time, we'll bring the kiddos, as there's lots to explore in this area. But was just as great to catch up on sleep and have some amazing food in Stanley. Thanks Jim and Adrienne for sharing your special place!!

Thanks for the nice words. We look forward to seeing you in Stanley again.
This is our 4th time staying at Bluebird Cabin. We like to cross country ski from the Cabin which has lots of options. Jim joins us on some days. He showed us a couple new places to explore. Always appreciate him broading our knowledge of the area.
This cabin was amazing and extremely cozy! We were there for 6 nights and enjoyed every moment we had there! The hosts were beyond welcoming and more then happy to answer any questions we had. Also they allowed us to have privacy which was nice! Their house is on the same property as the cabin but we didn’t see them much! They are also very responsive which is a huge plus! I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone who is wanting to visit Stanley! The cabin is a short drive to most popular spots!

Little piece of Heaven
The owners were extremely nice and accommodating upon arrival. Jim has taken care of every need you may have. We asked about a short hike with our little girl and he explained how to get to a nearby mountain meadow. It was hands down one of the most beautiful open spaces I have ever laid eyes on! We hope to make it back to Stanley and the Stark cabin again someday. Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us!

Wonderful Cabin, Great Location
Jim and Adrienne are fantastic hosts, the cabin is comfortable, well-equipped and spotless, and utterly peaceful. I spent a wonderful week exploring the area, wishing I could extend my stay. Greeted by Jim with warm cookies and a bottle of wine, the cabin is delightful, with a fully-equipped kitchen, comfy couches, 3 bedrooms, and screened porch. Bordering a national forest, fox, deer, and birds provided entertainment, and the sunrises and views were astonishing. Jim's photography of the surrounding mountains is superb, and he shared suggestions of trails that were perfect. I would love to revisit this marvelous cabin--a week was not long enough!

Nancy - It was great to have you here. I was impressed that you drove all the way from the east coast to hike these trails and enjoy our western wilderness.
We had an excellent experience at the Bluebird Cabin. The property is quiet, very scenic with mountain views, and close to hiking and wildlife viewing opportunities. The cabin itself is very attractive, roomy, and has everything you need to relax and unwind in comfort.
The hosts, Jim and Adrienne, really go out of their way to ensure a great experience for their guests. They are friendly and helpful, and answered endless questions about the best places to hike, and other things to do in the area. They even provided fresh baked cookies and a bottle of wine for us!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in paradise, and are hopeful we can return in the near future.
We highly recommend this property!

Loved it!! Great location! Best hospitality!
We loved our stay at Bluebird Cabin. It's close to town if you want to go have dinner there, or you can cook in the cabin. It's well stocked. The owner couldn't have been more accommodating. We had freshly baked cookies, a bottle of wine, beer, coffee, and even S'more fixings waiting for us. My favorite thing is the hikes!! You can walk out the door and go on some short or long hikes that are mind blowingly beautiful! The owner Jim, is an avid hiker and can direct you where to go and provides instructions. Beds are comfortable and we had all amenities and then some. I would highly recommend Bluebird Cabin. I've got some amazing pictures from our stay there.

Cozy cabin near the Sawtooths
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Bluebird Cabin. It has a very well equipped kitchen (no dishwasher, but that's OK with us), comfy bedroom and sitting area. We enjoyed sitting both in the yard, looking up at a view of the mountains, and on the screened-in porch. The home-made cookies provided when we checked in were a yummy reward after we returned from hiking each afternoon. And speaking of hiking - the cabin is located with easy access to trailheads in the Sawtooth Mountains, White Cloud Peaks & Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness areas. Jim is also an avid hiker, and offered recommendations of suitable hikes - the cabin also has numerous guide books of the area.
We stay at the Bluebird cabin every summer and it never disappoints. The cabin itself is warm and cozy and pretty much everything you’d ever want from a rustic cabin experience. Wood burning stove, balcony overlook and a tin roof so the rain can sooth you to sleep at night.
Jim is a font of Knowledge about Stanley and the surrounding Sawtooth mountains and lakes and trails. He’s happy to join you around the campfire and indulge you in whatever information you might be after. Highly recommended!!!
(The namesake Mountain Bluebirds hatch a clutch right outside the front door every year. Amazing to watch their iridescent bodies fly back and fourth with snacks for the babies)
Jim is a great host who was there to greet us on our arrival. He is extremely kind and helpful, having kept in touch with us for a week before our stay with regard to weather conditions. As it happened, there was a lot of snow, but the roads were passable. When it did get dodgy, the road was cleared by the afternoon.
The cabin itself is very cosy. There is very efficient electric heating as well as a log burner. The kitchen has everything you need for self-catering without the need to go out to eat.
Beds are large and comfortable with electric blankets.
Thank you, Jim, for your thoughtfulness generosity and hospitality.

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Having over thee feet of snow and a visiting fox was probably a bit different from your last trip here in August. It was good to share winter with someone. I wish I'd been able to hear more of your travel stories.
Stanley in the winter is a beautiful place to spend time. The Bluebird Cabin is in a location where you can Cross Country Ski in many directions. Go ski then sit by the fire. Jim the owner knows the area very well, loves to ski and might just join you on a ski tour.
This is our 3rd winter staying at the Bluebird Cabin. My hangout in Stanley for sure.
My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful and cozy Stanley cabin. The location was perfect...a short drive from town. We were able to bring our two dogs and they loved all the space surrounding the cabin where they could run and play. There was also a great hike to a gorgeous meadow right out the front door. The kitchen was well equipped to cook dinners and we loved having fires in the wood burning stove each night. The owner was very helpful answering any questions we had and was always available if we needed anything. Would definitely stay here again!
This a great cabin for a couple or family of 4. Location is great to hiking and close to Stanley!
Excellent location for hiking and enjoying Stanley and Sawtooth mountains. The cabin has all the basic amenities to enjoy your stay. Hosts are wonderful and accessible if you need assistance with your trip.
Amazing views and awesome opportunities to play or relax. Cabin has everything you need and is super comfortable. Jim is the best host! Close enough to town if you want to go out, but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful and stunning Sawtooths. Can't wait to go back.
