This Rustic Cabin is perfect for campers who want some amenities like a roof over your head and air conditioning, but don't mind showering outside surrounded by the blue sky and privacy deck. Bathrooms are just a short walk from the cabin too. Keep in mind you are out in the country. There are lots of bugs, fire ants and snakes! There is so much you and your family and friends can do while staying at this cabin. Just be prepared for being out in the country!! You can hike, run, bike, fish, play disc golf, or just relax and listen to the wind whip through the lob-lolly pines. It's a spectacular piece of property that we would like to share with guests. It's private and perfect for a weekend get-away, family reunion, or even a wedding. We've done it all out here with much success. There are bunk beds, and a loft with two sleeping mats, plus room for an air mattress that you can bring. You must supply all linens, and towels. There is no working kitchen in the cabin, so meals should be made on your own Coleman stove or open fire. You can get as creative as you'd like. Bring everything you would need for a primitive camping weekend. You won't be disappointed. This cabin can accommodate more than 6 people. You can bring tents and set up camps around the cabin. There is an extra charge, but that can be worked out.

Just as describe. Remote. Like camping but with light and AC. Cabin does not have water inside, but host provides accessible water by the restroom stalls just a short walk away. If you’re looking for camping and some true roof over your head this is the place! Simple and to the point. Outdoor shower under the stars was fun! If you’re looking for glamping this isn’t it! Truly enjoyed disconnecting from the world. Reception is almost non existent! Come and relax.
Perfectly situated midway between Bastrop & COTA, this cabin is worth staying at. The Moodys are great hosts and the wildlife as well as the peace & quiet were great. Can’t wait to book it again next year.
The property is gorgeous, the cabin well kept, the peace and quiet immaculate. Julie (the host) was wonderful, kind, responsive, and so so nice. Can’t recommend this place enough!
The Moody’s were wonderful hosts. Their property is a piece of Heaven in Texas. Perfect Get-away!
Renting the property was easy. Communication between the host and myself was superb. The cabin has all the supplies you need for a camping trip in the great outdoors. Our time spent at the Moody’s place was peaceful and restful! The Stars are amazing!
We had such a wonderful time at this property! It was a perfect cozy little cabin, very quiet, and exactly what we were looking for to disconnect from society for the weekend! We were able to build a little fire, do a little fishing and overall just enjoy the outdoors. The owners were extremely helpful and sweet! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to enjoy some piece and quiet in a perfect setting. We will be back!! :) 10/10 stars!!
My sons and I wanted to get away from the daily grind and just unplug. Mission fully accomplished, we has such a great time in this cozy little cabin. We hiked their beautiful 110 acres, fished one of the 3 ponds, and roasted s’mores around the campfire. The owners were gracious and hospitable, very eager to make sure we had a great time. I would highly recommend the spot to anyone who wants to break their normal routine and enjoy nature.
Beautiful and peaceful surroundings, with cattle, deer, birds, and the occasional sound of a distant train. A wonderful place to relax and get away. As a disc golfer, I also enjoyed playing the courses on the property.
Absolutely beautiful property and the hosts are top notch. Great communication about the stay and total peace and privacy during the stay. Plus, 36 gorgeous and challenging holes of disc golf, if that is your interest. The short walk to the restroom and outdoor "cowboy style" shower was not a problem for me, but be sure you are prepared for that set-up. For me, it was the perfect getaway!
Great place to get away, and also be out in nature. I saw a lot of wildlife while I was out on the ranch. I enjoyed walking around and viewing the property with the trees and pond. The disc golf course is impressive. This is a very secluded location, ideal for a social distancing vacation. The property managers are very considerate. The only thing to note is the outdoor bathroom facility is about 100 yard walk from the cabin, so keep that in mind if you are the type of person that requires frequent trips. This is a great spot and I would stay here again.
We always have a great time at the Ranch. The property is gorgeous in the spring and fall. We will be back!

Perfect as always.
I rented out the property for my boyfriend and his buds for a weekend getaway. His take: "Perfect as always. So much firewood and their property and hosts are always a delight."

Oasis in the,country
What a truly beautiful place.Surround by rolling land, pond, and lots of birds and, wildlife. This felt like our very own.Cabin is comfortable with bunks and a loft, with ridge and coffee maker. It was fine for the 2 of us.We were provided excellent instructions so we knew what to do .We began utilizing the fire pit immediately as wood is provided..but please keep in mind no running water in cabin, plan accordingly.
We used the outdoor shower..which was kinda cool..Probably better in summer though as country water is cold!! Ms Judy did provide a warm outdoor shower near the barn..just ask.
Some many things about this property are special..and each visitor will walk away, with something different., for us it was quietness from Houston, seeing nature and really a reconnection to each other. We hope the next visitor finds what they need..I know we did.And we will be back!!

Peaceful Camping & Disc Golf Mecca
We had the perfect get away and camping experience on this beautiful property in Red Rock, Texas just outside of Austin! Our family of six and a baby spent the weekend in tents and also using this rustic cabin overlooking a picture perfect pond, while playing on several disc golf courses. The owners, Dave and Julie, were very gracious explaining about the property and amenities and even left a " in case you forgot" basket to use on the table in the cabin. We saw lots of wildlife, heard turkeys and coyotes at night, and the stars were incredible! The bathroom is just a short walk from the cabin with a great outdoor shower. Loved it!

Very nice little cabin!
My brother and I stayed here with a friend, and it was perfect. The size was nice, and so was the property. (Keep in mind, this is a rustic property, and the bathrooms are a nice walk from the cabin.) For our purposes, it was perfect! The owner made certain we understood it was a rustic cabin, kept the porch light on for us, and gave us clear directions. I highly recommend this cabin!

We had a wonderful experience at the cabin and can't wait to return!
My husband, two older boys and I spent two nights at the end of Spring Break. We booked last minute and were just looking for something outdoorsy to do without large crowds. We couldn't have picked a better spot! The cabin was rustic and so much fun! It had everything we needed for the perfect "camping" experience but without having to sleep in a tent! We fished all day, explored, stargazed around the campfire, relaxed, and not a soul in sight...it couldn't have been better. Our boys made some great memories! Thank you Julie and Dave (and Brick!) for a wonderful time! ~Emersons

Fantastic experience!
This was the second time I visited this cabin with a few friends and it was even better this time around. The owners are so caring and thoughtful and they make the experience even better. If you're looking for a weekend getaway I highly recommend this place.
