Wonderful place and amazing views!
We stayed for 5 weeks in this wonderful cabin! The cabin was very spacious for 2 adults and our 2 dogs. I honestly could not tell that dogs had stayed there before. It was super clean and ready for us when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked, had everything to make your own meals, and a nice grill on the patio. It had cable and wifi, so we could work remotely from the cabin. The views from the back patio are amazing. Lots of roads to walk the dogs, we did find some trails around the area to walk. Closest town is Buena Vista, which is where we went to get groceries and check out some restaurants/bars. There were also some nice trails in BV to walk the dogs. Takes about 25-30 minutes to BV and Breckenridge is about an hour away. We explored some of the surrounding areas too, Leadville, Salida, Guffey, and Red Cliff. Did a few snow mobile trips while we were there, had a really great time. Cabin is on a dirt road, which is noted in the listing so that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, it also snowed while we were there. Once the snow stopped they plowed the roads, so it was pretty easy to get in and out with no issues. Lots to do if you are willing to venture out. If you get a chance to stay here, don't pass it up, it is a great place and Terence is a super great host!

Very secluded
If you’re looking for a secluded location then this is it. Nearest grocery store is 35 minutes away. Cabin is a 10 minute drive down a gravel road off the main road. While relaxing on the couch one night I was visited by a mouse, handyman came the next day to put traps.

Hartsel Week
We came to Ranch of the Rockies (where the home is located) to look at land and possibly purchase a few acres. The home is very nice and and the cabin was excellent for our purposes. Owner is very nice and accommodating. We would stay at his home in the future.

We are a family that lives in Edwards, Colorado. My two boys grew up enjoying this awesome log cabin and exploring the wonders that abound in every direction. We love to spend time outdoors exploring Colorado and enjoying this amazing climate hiking, fishing, rafting, festivals, hot springs, skiing /snowboarding and so much more that this area has to offer. We love the comforts of the cabin combined with the incredible powers of nature that are always evident in this very special place. Perfect for a family or even an artist, author or anyone who wants to work / play / relax in a peaceful mountain setting with the comforts of a cozy, charming log cabin. It's like camping without the tent! We have many wonderful memories of our beloved cabin and we hope you will feel the same.

Why they chose this property

This is a wonderful getaway from the stresses of modern life. Wildlife abounds - yet you will sleep safely in the comfort of the cabin. The convenient location in the heart of Colorado provides access to numerous recreational opportunities and you will still feel as though you are camping in the remote mountains. The high speed internet is super convenient. The location is awesome - remote and peaceful yet close to town and amenities such as restaurants and grocery (20 minutes to BV - 10 minutes to the quaint little town of Hartsel). The cabin was custom built and boasts wood and stone floors, granite counters, stainless appliances, comfortable furnishings, washer dryer and jacuzzi bathtub!

What makes this property unique

This property is unique because the cabin feels rustic, warm and cozy yet it is light, bright and clean. There are spectacular views from every window - through the trees to the mountains all around. The cabin is perched on the knoll - one experiences the wonder of the majestic mountain ranges at the same time as the warmth of the cabin situated safely within the trees. Perfect for the person who wants nature, serenity along with the comforts of a custom built log cabin with high speed internet.
