We had a lovely holiday in Tuscany. The landscape is stunning — full of vineyards, rolling hills, and natural beauty. The outdoor area of the property, especially the clean and well-maintained pool, was absolutely beautiful and where we spent most of our time. Every other evening, we tried a different local restaurant or pizzeria and were never disappointed. The walking trails around the house were peaceful and relaxing. The house itself, however, was a bit of a contrast. Being an old stone building, it heated up significantly during the day. There was only one fan, which helped a little, but a proper air conditioning system — or at least mosquito screens — would have made a big difference, especially at night when ventilation wasn’t possible without letting insects in.On arrival, the kitchen wasn’t as clean as expected, so we washed all the dishes and cutlery before using them. Despite keeping the house tidy, we regularly noticed ant trails in the kitchen and bathroom. We chose this place because of the outstanding reviews, so we wanted to share a few details future guests might find helpful: the owners live just a few meters away on the same property and walked past the house several times a day. While this didn’t bother us, there was little interaction, no local tips, and the language barrier made communication a bit limited.Overall, we had a wonderful stay — just a few things to be aware of that may help future guests manage expectations.
