Tipical house in the green and calm hills of umbria: among the green fields that surround the small village of Torre S. Severo which is situated between Orvieto and Bolsena lake, on the top of a small hill, you can find the most ideal home for a peaceful vacation. The house is completely renovated, decorated tastefully and well equipped. A wide green lawn invites you to sit on it, breath the clear air (no industry around) and get some sun tan. At night, when the stars are shining above, you can ask the owner to use the observatory with you.
The location is ideal for one-day trips to places that are within an hour and a half drive, such as Perugia, Assisi, Siena, Pitigliano, Arezzo. Bolsena's lake lies about 15 minutes drive, so are Orvieto and Civita di Bagnoregio.About 40 minutes drive you can enjoy the termal water of Viterbo or Saturnia.

Fantastisch vakantiehuis vlakbij Orvieto en Bolsena

De woning is voorzien van alle comfort. Heel vriendelijke eigenaar. Wij mochten zelfs vroeger inchecken, dan het afgesproken uur. Heel rustige ligging, maar toch centraal gelegen. Wij hebben hier een fijne vakantie gehad en kunnen dit vakantieverblijf zeker aanbevelen.

Rural tranquillity

A charming and well equipped country cottage, with the most welcoming and helpful hosts; a spacious garden to lounge in and relax in the hot August days with the sounds of cicadas and bee eaters around and night skies studded with stars. The lovely old lake town of Bolsena close enough for dining and swimming and ice cream in the attractive town piazza. A rural retreat indeed!

de woning is gezellig (dat is wel Nederlands) mooi en volledig ingericht. Voorzien van WIFI en koel als mogelijk. De barbecue ontbrak maar er werd direct een gloednieuwe neergezet. en de kapotte ligstoel werd dezelfde dag vervangen door een nieuwe. de gastheer was geweldig en direct benaderbaar. enige minpunt: wij betaalden borg maar kregen dit niet de laatste dag terug. de eigenaar moet met homeway regelen dat dit wordt teruggestuurd maar daar zit ruim een week tussen

Charming house with character and plenty of space

We stayed for one very hot week in August. The house has a charming garden and is situated in beautiful countryside. You need to drive on unmade roads for some of the way to approach the house, but once there you have a secure and sheltered parking space. The house is tastefully restored, with very two good sized bedrooms, a beautiful lounge, and a separate dining room, and a well equipped kitchen. Very friendly and helpful owners, who even allowed me to experience their excellent observatory one evening. Orvieto is beautiful and worth more than one visit, while lake Bolsena is only twenty minutes drive away so we could spend our afternoons relaxing and swimming.

Une très belle maison dans un cadre idyllique au cœur de la campagne.

Nous avons passé un très beau séjour dans cette maison, idéale pour deux couples ou une famille de quatre personnes : nous avons pu profiter du superbe jardin, de la terrasse… Évidemment, si vous recherchez un peu d’animation il faut reprendre la voiture mais si vous recherchez des vacances au calme, c’est l’endroit idéal. Giulio et sa famille nous ont fait un très bon accueil, ils habitent juste à côté, mais ils sont très discrets ; et nous nous souvenons encore de la soirée « astronomie » la veille de notre départ. La région est très belle, mais il faut absolument une voiture pour la découvrir. Nous garderons un bon souvenir de cette semaine de vacances, et nous y retournerons sans aucune difficulté.

Excellent quiet retreat in the Italian countryside

Giulio was a kind and generous host. We loved waking up in the rolling hills of Umbria and going to sleep hearing the crickets chirping. The house has everything necessary for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed day tripping to Rome Assisi, and Montepulciano, as well as the nearby town of Orvieto.

Soggiorno relax nella campagna di Orvieto

La villetta è molto graziosa e attrezzata di ogni confort, anche in cucina super accessoriata. Letti comodi, bagno caldo e funzionale. Piacevole il soggiorno con camino e TV maxi schermo. Zona silenziosissima, ci si trova comunque a 15 minuti in auto da Orvieto e vicino a Bolsena. Possibili piacevoli passeggiate percorrendo stradine e viottoli limitrofi. Proprietario sempre cortese e disponibile. Da provare.

Liebliches Ferienhaus

Ein sehr angenehmer 3- wöchiger Aufenthalt. Das geräumige Ferienhaus mit schönem Garten liegt sehr ruhig in ländlicher Umgebung. Es war tadellos sauber und die Einrichtung mit Bedacht gewählt. Wir haben uns ungestört gefühlt. Der Vermieter ist nett, zurückhaltend und bei Bedarf sehr hilfsbereit.

ein gemütliches Haus ohne Fehler

Wir haben 2 sehr angenehme Wochen in diesem sehr ruhig gelegenen Haus verbracht und uns dabei ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt. Der Besitzer ist sympathisch und freundlich, die Einrichtung sauber und zweckmäßig und der hübsche Garten ist durch einen durchgehenden Zaun kinder- und hundesicher. Leider hat die Demonstration der professionell ausgestatteten Sternwarte wegen des Wetters ausfallen müssen - Schade! Nur wenige Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt gibt es einige wirklich empfehlenswerte Restaurants und Trattorien, z.B. das "Bosco del Pesce" oder die "Antica Trattoria". Orvieto, der Bolsena-See, das pittoreske Bagnoregio oder Viterbo sind über gute Straßen leicht zu erreichen, die zahlreichen etruskischen Denkmäler in der Umgebung haben für uns ohnehin magnetische Anziehungskraft. Sehr zu empfehlen!

A weekend in Umbria

Though short, we had a very nice stay in this comfortable countryhouse in the green heart of Italy. The accommodation is completely consistent with info reported in the descriptive page - well maintained and properly equipped with everything needed for everyday life. The natural context is relaxing and particularly suitable to those loving quiet and intellectual activities. We had no time to play tourist, but the neighborhood is rich in historical, art and environmental attractions. Living nearby, the owner is always available when needed. He welcomed us with kindness and warmth and even guided us in a tour of his plant nursery, showing us unusual and/or rare types of fruit. We're gonna repeat the experience for sure!
