Villa Mathis is a contemporary design and air-conditioned villa of 125 m2 on a 300m2 garden for rent for a charming Mediterranean vacation.

In 2019, we added a permanent pool, fully tiled with glass paste mosaic and surrounded by teak beaches. the swimming pool has a large bench to sit, lie down or serve as a paddling pool for children.

300 m from the famous lido beach, in a residential and resort area, Villa Mathis offers a master suite on the ground floor with "Siam" decor with a concrete shower room and walk-in shower, 2 bedrooms the floor with personalized decor with a 2nd bathroom equipped with a bathtub.
Large living room of over 50m2 with fitted kitchen, living room and dining room. Mezzanine with sleeping area, fitted laundry, garage ...

The house is equipped with 2 terraces with a garden furniture for lunch or dinner in the sun or in the shade according to your wishes, an 80m2 solarium on the roof with a view of Mont Saint Clair, the sea and the pond from Thau.

The fully enclosed garden offers a children's area with a cabin.

Close to all amenities (the car is not essential for everyday shopping).

8 bikes available (5 adult bikes + 2 junior bikes + 1 child bike + 1 baby carrier)

Beach affairs and many toys for children

NB: Close to the sea, Villa Mathis is located in one of the quietest streets in the beautiful district of VIlleroy.
No parking problem in rue du Négafol or any nuisance related to the passage of cars going to the beach; the street is not busy.

Family holiday.

We had a fabulous week in the villa, which suited all members of the family. The pool is delightful. Our two year old loved it, almost as much as the toys in the house! The roof terrace views are superb and the proximity to the beach is a real treat. So convenient. We would like to return one day.

Our stay at Villa Mathis

Our family had a wonderful two week stay at the Villa Mathis. Magali and Pierre were great, and very helpful, hosts - the welcoming chilled gifts in the fridge were greatly appreciated! The villa is in a quiet street and a perfectly located 5-minute walk to the fabulous stretch of beaches nearby, and close to shops (Auchan, Lidl, Spar), an excellent boulangerie and restaurants (try La Ola on the beach and La Senne & Oh Gobie on the quay in Sete). There are nearby bus routes into Sete, Mt St Clair and beyond. We also used the Villa Mathis bicycles for a 25km return expedition, along the path between the beach and L'Etang de Thau, to Marseillan Plage (excellent lunch at Marina Bay.) Merci encore beaucoup!

Incredible stay with a short 5 min walk to the beach

Magali and Pierre are fantastic and attentive hosts. They provided a warm welcome (with some refreshments in the fridge for us as a complementary welcome gift). We had some issues with the front room blinds, but Magali and Pierre were quick to respond and resolved the issue quickly for us. The villa itself is beautiful and we all had a very comfortable stay. The pool and amazing view from the rooftop both made our stay so special. The bikes are handy to have on hand for when we need to go to the shops or just want to explore further. All in all, we have loved our experience here, and would love to come back to Sete for another stay next year. Thank you so much Magali and Pierre!

Wir haben einen sehr schönen zehntägigen Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Dabei haben wir uns sowohl über den Pool und die umfangreichen Liegemöglichkeiten als auch die Dachterrasse sehr gefreut. Die Abwicklung (ausschließlich in Französisch) war unkompliziert und proaktiv. Insgesamt können wir das Objekt sehr weiterempfehlen.

Un petit séjour parfait

Nous avons beaucoup aimé la situation de la maison de Magali, très proche de la belle grande plage longue de 12kms. Le logement est très fonctionnel, confortable, bien équipé (il y a même des vélos). La petite piscine est un vrai plus pour se rafraichir. Merci à Pierre pour son accueil et sa gentillesse.

Excellent and very kid-friendly house for beach holiday!

We stayed at Villa Mathis for a week during our holiday in France. Given we are a family with two young children (aged 2 and 4), this was by far the most child-friendly house we've stayed at. There were toys, an outdoor playhouse, gates for the stairs, and pool floaties we could use during our stay. The roof deck is amazing for morning play, evening sunsets, and drying clothes rapidly. The kitchen had everything we need to make our meals without ordering out or going to restaurants every day, and the garden had a charcoal grill and al fresco dining table. In addition to the walkable beach access, there is a great municipal pool 500m away as well as a bakery and weekly farmer's market we could walk to. We would happily come back and stay here, and recommend it to other families on holiday!

Fraai huis op mooie rustige locatie dicht bij het strand

Huis is precies zoals in de advertentie wordt weergegeven: ruim, schoon en mooi ingericht, alles functioneerde prima en we hebben veel gebruik gemaakt van de fietsen. Op het terras (zowel naast het huis als op het dak) zijn heerlijke ligbedden. Het huis ligt dicht bij het strand (loopafstand) en de winkels, het dorpje Sete is goed met de fiets bereikbaar. De communicatie en ontvangst hebben we als zeer prettig ervaren. Topper!

Coup de coeur !!

Nous avons passé cet été un séjour exceptionnel dans la villa, nous avons été très bien accueilli par nos hôtes, ils nous ont bien expliqué comment fonctionnait la maison et quels étaient les commodités proches. Puis après nous sommes allés de découvertes en découvertes, la plage à cinq minutes, les restaurants, les commerces, l’espace jeux derriere la maison est très agréable avec les enfants, la maison est design et fonctionnelle, il ne manque rien, et la cerise sur le gâteau LE ROOFTOP avec une superbe vue et des couchers de Soleil magnifiques… C’était notre coup de coeur 2021…

Un séjour très agréable à Sète

La villa était très agréable tout comme le jardin. La mise à disposition des vélos était top et très utile dans ce quartier ou tout est étudié pour la sécurité des enfants. Les propriétaires sont très agréables et à l'écoute. Il n'y a aucune pression de leur part quant aux heures de départ ou d'arrivée. Une villa à recommander chaleureusement !
