About this property
The House of Light and Wind
Just a few minutes from the brightest beaches of Chia, The House of Light and Wind is a warm, Mediterranean retreat, surrounded by greenery and wrapped in a quiet that accompanies every hour of the day.
The living area on the ground floor is the heart of the house — an open, simple and welcoming space where the kitchen and the living room flow naturally into each other. Ocher-colored walls, a terracotta-effect entrance floor and the light filtering through the large windows all speak of an authentic, homely warmth.
The modern kitchen in shades of red opens onto the wooden dining table, a true place of conviviality where meals are prepared, conversations unfold, work gets done, and one returns from the beach with towels to sort. The living room, with its soft sofa and curved wooden coffee table, is a small corner of real, lived-in life: nothing is forced, everything is genuine.
Next to the living area is the ground-floor bathroom, practical and bright. It is finished in warm terracotta and ivory tones — the ivory with a soft golden hue — and enriched with small handcrafted mosaic inserts that echo the colors of the tiles and weave them into a discreet, harmonious pattern. The style recalls the bathroom upstairs, while keeping this more decorative character.
The bathroom is preceded by a convenient anteroom where the washing machine is located — a discreet but valuable detail for everyday life by the sea.
The sleeping area moves at a slower rhythm. Ascending the internal staircase, framed by honey-colored walls and a painting that accompanies the passage, one reaches an intimate and luminous upper floor.
The master bedroom is a gentle embrace of wood and light: a harmonious retreat where the teak four-poster bed, with its essential lines, and the light curtains create a soft, relaxing atmosphere. Nearby sit an enveloping bronze-colored armchair, a wooden chest and greenish curtains that filter the morning sun. The room opens onto a private veranda overlooking a landscape of trees and silence. Once, the sea could be seen from here; today the vegetation hides it — but the light arriving from that direction is the same: soft, golden, precious.
The second bedroom, simple, sunny and welcoming, is a small nest filled with light: amber-colored walls, wooden beams and a wrought-iron bunk bed. A natural-wood wardrobe and orange-toned curtains complete a space that smells of summer — ideal for children or for anyone who loves the warm simplicity of Mediterranean homes.
The upstairs bathroom is bright and quiet, clad in honey, terracotta and ivory tiles. Unlike the bathroom downstairs, there are no mosaics here: the interplay of the three tones creates a natural, delicate rhythm. The glossy floor enhances the light, the shower feels airy, and the window brings in the morning breeze. A sunny, clean, essential room — a small haven of peace after a day at the beach.
The verandas and the garden are the breath of the house. It is embraced by greenery: trees, lawn and a patio that invites outdoor living. The upper veranda is a balcony of serenity; the lower one is perfect for long summer lunches and dinners outdoors. Nature does the rest: the light changes constantly, and the wind carries the scent of the Mediterranean scrub.
Style is essence.
The House of Light and Wind is a simple, well-kept and deeply authentic place. Not a magazine house, but a real home — one that welcomes, embraces and lets you breathe. Every room has its story, every object was chosen with love, and anyone who enters immediately feels something that cannot be bought: its soul.
