A typical 19th-century country house, with thick stone walls and wooden beams, recently renovated with modern amenities. The property consists of a main house and an annex.
The main house has 7/8 beds (1 double bed and 1 120 cm bed on the first floor, and 4 single beds on the mezzanine), 2 bathrooms, and a large living room with a kitchen.
The annex, with its own entrance off the courtyard, overlooks the panoramic terrace, just like the main house. It has 2 beds—in a comfortable double sofa bed—a bathroom with a shower, and a fully equipped kitchenette (photos 21, 22, and 23). The annex is available when the number of guests exceeds 8.
The garden features a lawn with aromatic herbs and a hot tub, offering a panoramic view of the Iblean countryside.
The house is situated in its original setting: the courtyard of the small village features a well with a reservoir, carved into the rock, where rainwater was collected, and has a threshing floor behind it, made from a single slab of limestone, where grain was once threshed using mules.
Ideal for a vacation in the beautiful Iblean countryside, especially in the spring, it is strategically located for visiting the Baroque towns.
It is situated on a plateau, opposite Ragusa Ibla, beyond the Irminio River, offering a panoramic view of terraced fields with dry-stone walls, planted with wheat, olive trees, carob trees, and almond trees, and dotted with grazing cows.
Easter is highly recommended, as the area comes alive with religious festivals where folklore blends with the devotion of the faithful.
From the yard, as well as from the house’s large terraces, you can enjoy the view of the incredibly green fields in the spring and the very sunny landscapes in the summer.
It is a realm of silence and tranquility, of the scents of the countryside, where it is pleasant to spend the evenings simply gazing at the star-filled sky.
It has a dry and windy climate, pleasant even during hot summers.
It seems even more pleasant when you return from a day at the beach: beautiful public beaches are easily accessible both on the southern side (Marina di Modica, Sampieri, Pozzallo) and to the east (Vendicari, Marzamemi, San Lorenzo Nature Reserve)
