Borrego Palms is a duplex with a Main House and Studio surrounded by desert. Our Desert getaway in Borrego Springs is only a two-hour drive from San Diego. Here you can experience Desert living in a comfortable setting and enjoy spectacular views around the Borrego Springs area. The house has an unheated pool, and flat garage roof for stargazing. The property sits on more than an acre and is close to the Galleta Meadow sculptures, Fonts Point, Coyote Canyon, the Calipatria Mud Volcanoes, Salvation Mountain and the Salton Sea.

Very nice getaway

Private and clean and homey. A nice place in a beautiful desert setting tucked up against the mountains. Beautiful dark skies at night. Close to the main town and restaurants. In summary perfect.

Exceptional setting

The house is located in a lovely setting. Dennis welcomed us and we also got to meet the owners who came for a short stay. It was nice to be conveniently close to town and yet at the same time enjoyed being able to walk out for hikes directly from the house.

Pleasant stay

On site Property Manager, Dennis was extremely attentive to our needs, immediately supplying us with supplies and even went over and above bringing us fire wood after we asked him where to purchase some. Was worried of having him next door, but he was very discreet, quite, but attentive.

Relaxing month

This was the third time we visited Eric and Dennis's property. It is well cared for and quiet. We enjoyed the stars at night and the beauty during the daytime by the pool. At dusk, the coyotes would howl and gather for the night's activities. We hope and plan to go again to relax in the desert next time

(They sometimes make their dens further away from our house, so our guests are not as well entertained at night). Excellent Experience

We spent two weeks on the property for our wedding, everything was beautiful! Dennis and Eric made it very nice for us to celebrate with all of our family and friends. My husband, myself and our kids fell in love with the place and didn't want to leave. We can't wait to make Borrego Palms a regular place to be. We will be back soon. Definitely recommend

Great place to get away

We really enjoyed this house had everything you needed, kitchen had the essentials and the bathroom aswell. The Pool was awesome and definitely needed for the temperature was above 100 degrees. At night you could see the stars which was pretty great you don't get to see that in the city. Dennis the property manager was great and we also got to meet Eric the owner of the property he was very nice, he also recommended places we should visit while out in borrego. I definitely would recommend this home if you are looking to get away from the city and just relax.

Fantastic week in Anza-Borrego

Eric's house was just wonderful. It was spacious, clean, right at the edge of the desert, with a fully equipped kitchen and a hot tub in perfect working order. We sat in it every night, gazing at the stars. Dennis, a neighbor who is in charge of the house, was extremely kind and helpful. And he is also a great rock guitarist who sometimes plays at Carlee's, so watch out for that. Thanks, Dennis and Eric! We will definitely return.

The getaway i needed!

We had a great time during our recent stay. At first i was a bit uneasy about the onsite host and the possibility of another family staying in the duplex area but Dennis was extremely helpful and polite and did not invade our privacy at all. He was there when we needed him but otherwise he was out of complete sight. I believe there is a notation of a washer and dryer onsite and while it is, it is mainly for the host, not guests however Dennis did allow us to use it and we are very grateful. i would definitely love to return, the rental was very spacious and comfortable. Remember this is desert area so just have some bug/mosquito spray and sunblock handy and the stay will be so enjoyable. Thank you for the great time!!!

Beautiful views

This was a beautiful place to stay for a month in the desert. The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful, and I cannot say enough about Dennis, the caretaker. He goes above and beyond to make your stay pleasant, and is truly the soul of kindness. The great things here: wonderful, large kitchen, beautiful bathroom. The issue of water taking a long time to heat was not a big deal. Once it's hot, the water stays hot for a very long time, showers were a highlight! Same for the hot tub, which was always hot and ready to go. Lots of space, huge lot to find some shade, wonderful view of the desert from the pool area. Master bed is very comfortable. The only not-so-great thing is that I didn't realize the studio is attached to the main house. When our family stayed there for a few days it was great; could open the door and it became a 3 BR, 2 bath place. But when others rent it, not so great. You can literally hear every sound through the door, from TV, to coughing, to bathroom sounds. Outdoor areas are then also communal. Would rent again only if we included the studio in the rental! It may not bother some folks who are immune to sounds, but it's a deal breaker for me. Again, owner and caretaker are the greatest, many thanks to you both.

A True Desert Oasis

The house is clean and inviting.. well done. no complaints or issues there at all.. What was great for us was the location.. Just south of Circle/Downtown and the really well kept garden/grounds/flora.. Was so lush and nice and RELAXING.. we hiked our tails off (my favorite thing to do there) so was nice to come back and take it easy.. attracts a lot of birds (especially humming birds). What a great week we had due to the hospitality of Eric and Dennis.. much obliged..

Peaceful weekend getaway

Our family (w/ 2 kids) greatly enjoyed our stay here in Borrego. The location is fantastic - close to town but feels remote and is very peaceful and quiet. Dennis, the manager, was very accessible and helpful; lives on-site but is separate from the house so it still feels completely private. The pool is too cool to enjoy at this time of year, but the pool patio was still a relaxing place to enjoy, as well as the hot tub. We also enjoyed having a night fire in the fire pit out front - great space to sit, relax, and enjoy the outdoors. Hopefully we'll be back to Borrego again soon and will definitely consider this location for another stay!

Hiking adventures

We enjoyed our home away from home in Boreggo! Just what we wanted to get away from it all and escape into the desert. We hiked everyday and came home to this great house. Beds were very comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook our breakfasts and dinners. Dennis was available to help if needed. We had a fire in the great fire pit on the patio on two of the nights, the stars are so fabulous and the sunrise, beautiful . Also had breakfast outside one morning. I love Boreggo and this location and accommodations for my husband, my brother and I was just what we needed! Love the quiet location! Thanks for a great stay.

The house is well-stocked, clean and comfortable. They even have a set of good binoculars and a telescope for stepping out the kitchen door and viewing the Milky Way.

Comfortable home just far enough from town for good night sky viewing and close enough to walk. We enjoyed an evening of star gazing from the rooftop with chaise lounges and would have used the telescope if the other nights we were there weren't overcast. Really enjoyed the Borrego house--gorgeous xeriscaping and places to hang out outside, comfortable bed, house flush up against the state park, ocotillos starting to bloom, along with California fucshias out at Palm Canyon.. COMFORTABLE & RELAXING

Roomy home with everything we needed for a last minute get-away to the desert. Convenient location: close to town, small grocery store & a few restaurants. Central to exploring off-road trails & hikes. On-site property manager was helpful, not intrusive at all. Appreciated the outdoor fire pit, nice to watch the sunset & hang out for the evening. Loved all the windows so you don’t get cheated on the landscape. Property felt private. During our stay, the adjoining studio was vacant, obviously that added to the peaceful feeling of being on your own. Could use some upgrades, but the owner & manager were so kind, it felt like staying at a friend’s place, they were responsive & attentive. Can’t complain, overall a good experience.

We have always loved the desert, and bought this house as a fixer, then took five years to turn it into what it is today.

We are located (intentionally) at the far edge of the town of Borrego Springs, to have as much of the Anza Borrego State Park surrounding us as possible. The stargazing out here is unsurpassed in the United States, and there are many fun things to do once you get here. Here are a couple of YouTube videos on our place:
