The home is in a beautiful scenic location with a lovely outside space, which gave us a very promising first impression. On arrival, the rubbish bin was overflowing and clearly hadn't been emptied for sometime. We contacted the owner via the agent but nothing was done. One of the two showers was out of action and according to the visitors book this had been a long standing problem. The fire alarms were nonfunctional which is a serious safety concern. Several light bulbs throughout the property didn't work and there were cobwebs in many corners, showing a lack of basic cleaning and maintenance. We also found an exposed cable with bare wires in the water tank cupboard - extremely unsafe. A beautiful location but the property itself was poorly maintained and fell far below our expectations for the price we paid.
It was above our expectation and we had a nice holiday.
Before we arrived we had a doubt what types property it is? Is it spacious enough to accommodate us. But when we have arrived it was impressive. Location was also perfect to explore whole lake district. It was just foot of the Old man of Coniston. Me and my son has gone highest pick.
Die Ausstattung des Hauses und die geschmackvolle Einrichtung hat uns sehr gefallen. Die Adresse ist über google maps nicht zu finden. Schöner Aufenthalt.
