Beautiful house & pool in fantastic location!!

We enjoyed our stay very much and the pool was fantastic! Beds, linens, & showers plus internet - all excellent. Some basic kitchen supplies were needed like a sponge for washing dishes, paper towels, salt pepper & oil for cooking. All resolved with quick trip to the store but small things we expected to find. They were helpful and friendly in replacing broken items like wine opener, dust pan for sweeping. We would love to return one day and stay again at Villa Victoria!

An impressive villa in an excellent location

A well located luxurious property which makes for an excellent base for exploring the island. Most of the best sights are a short drive away. Good communication from start to finish from the agent who met us at the villa to show us how everything worked even though it was late at night. Bedrooms spacious and beds comfortable. The pool was perfect although we paid extra to have it heated. There were a couple of minor problems - ants in the kitchen and the WiFi wasn’t strong enough to reach the bedrooms. This didn’t spoil our stay in this lovely villa. The games room was an added bonus!

Nice villa with lovely pool, although some checkin and maintenance issues

Nice villa, although some broken items (chairs, lamps and light fittings, kitchen equipment) so felt a bit 'tired'. No aircon, which was fine during October, but I guess would be very hot in Summer! Lovely pool, which we had extra heated, so family could swim even on cooler days, although this was expensive. Very frustrating checkin process, the villa was not ready when we arrived (at scheduled checkin time) so we had to go out for another few hours. When we returned still no cot which had been requested. Also did not get a proper check in / show around, so took us a few days to find outdoor light switches and how to operate certain things in the villa. The local team however were responsive when we reported these things. Would have been helpful to have some local information in the villa (eg restaurants, walking directions to coast etc). Overall we had a lovely time. but a little disappointed with the maintenance and process.

fantastic villa

This villa had everything our family (2 adults +12 and 13 year olds) needed beautiful pool, lots of space for everyone, games room and stunning views from every room.... MHM was very accommodating and helpful with check -in/out times, arranging airport transfer. The welcome gifts of Madeira wine, cake, biscuits and soft drinks were a very nice gesture. Thank you!

There is an ant problem and the linens are of poor quality. Could have been better stocked with paper products (tp, paper towels) Overall very pleasant stay.

Great Villa

Great villa. A lot of space, very modern, fully equiped, a terrific view to the ocean and very quiet. Location was ideal for exploring the island. Heliodoro was very friendly and helpful. Check out was flexible. Wish we had been there longer. We would highly reccomend this villa.

Schicke moderne Luxus Villa

Wir, eine fünfköpfige Familie aus Deutschland, haben uns in der Villa Vitoria sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und verfügt über eine sehr moderne und schöne Einrichtung. Die Kücke ist ebenfalls modern eingerichtet, mit Kühl-und Gefrierschrank, Spülmaschine, Wasserkocher, Kaffeeaschine und Gasherd. Der Pool ist ebenfalls sehr sauber und wurde einmal in der Woche gereinigt. Alle Schlafzimmer besitzen einen tollen Meerblick. Das Haus hat neben einer Garage auch eine Hofeinfahrt mit automatischer Toröffnung. Die Villa ist mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen, fast vor dem Haus befindet sich auch eine Bushaltestelle. Das Bussystem ist super. Auch sind zwei Einkaufszentren in der Nähe. In nur wenigen Minuten ist man in Funchal. Sehr zu empfehlen ist ein Fahrt mit einem Katamaran und mit etwas Glück sieht man Delphine und Wale, auch einen Stopp zum Schwimmen im Meer gab es, war echt cool. Ganz in der Nähe ist der Aussichtspunkt der höchsten Klippe Europas und der ein kleiner Fischerort Camara de Lobos. Auch Ausflüge zum Leuchtturm an der Westspitze der Insel zum Sonnenuntergang , zu Wanderungen in den Bergen im Inselinneren oder ins Naturbad Porto Moniz lohnen sich. Von Funchal aus kann man mit der Gondel auf den Monte hoch und die berühmte Korbschlittenfahrt runter unternehmen. Die Betreuung durch die Hausverwaltung war von der Anfrage über die Buchung, Anzahlung, Wegbeschreibung, Empfang hin bis zum Auschecken sehr gut. Schon nach einigen Stunden hatten wir Antwort auf E-Mails, unserer Meinung nach ziemlich schnell. Wir bedanken uns recht herzlich und würden gerne jederzeit wiederkommen. In der Villa Vitoria haben wir einen sehr schönen Urlaub verbracht.
