Apartment in beautiful 17th century building, St Malo intra muros, near beaches

Located on the 1st floor of a house from 1606 having escaped the ravages of fires and wars, this studio, completely renovated and bright (west facing) accommodates 3 people (+ 1 baby). Set back from the bustle, in an enclosed courtyard, it is nevertheless at the heart of the events that animate St Malo intra muros throughout the year. The building, steeped in history, has a wide staircase from the Henri IV period, the woodwork and the fireplace in the studio date from Louis XIV.
The rue de l'Orme (semi-pedestrian) where it is located is one of the friendliest in the city. It is 'the' street of food shops (including La Maison du Beurre and the Breizh Café), market and cybercafé. At the end of the street, two supervised beaches line the ramparts, from where the view of the open sea is unforgettable, especially during high tides: you can practice sailing, kayaking and rowing, but also laze or go fishing. Street shows, in summer, follow one another at many sites. Everything is accessible on foot: bus, SNCF station, bicycle rental, speedboats for Dinan, Dinard, Cap Frehel, Chausey Islands, Jersey, Guernsey, Sark, Thalassotherapy, etc ...

Idéalement situé, avons été bien conseillés par la et le propriétaire pour organiser nos visites. Séjour inoubliable où nous retournerons car il nous manque la visite de la demeure des corsaires. Apparemment du XVIII resté dans son jus très propre ou rien ne manque. Propriétaires très sympa Idéal pour quelques jours.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans le studio, qui est bien équipé. L’espace est un peu restreint pour trois personnes, mais parfait pour deux. L’immeuble, pour qui aime l’ancien, a beaucoup de charme. La localisation est imbattable : dans la rue commerçante de l’intra muros. Violaine et son mari ont été très accueillants.

Very nice location

The location is perfect for holidays and it is located perfectly in the centre. The flat was clean and in our opinion big enough for two people. There was everything provided we needed. Furthermore the landlords were friendly and gave us good advices for trips and journeys.

Perfect location for a small get away for 2

I would love to give this really lovely studio more stars because of the location. However, the lack of beds takes away a lot from this property. With one full sized futon, that was broken-in down to being able to feel the wood slats underneath. and one chair sized pullout that was just that. Only being a studio, the bathroom was updated and comfortable. Internet didn't work and the t.v was a small computer screen. No frills or modern conveniences at this studio. No more than 2 people can comfortably stay here, especially with the lack of sleeping comforts. Radiation heat worked good. The water, toilet, and shower was updated and good.

The description and photos on the ad clearly inform you that it is a sofa-bed and not a proper-bed.The sofa-bed is only one year old and isn't broken ( I checked ). Regarding the internet, I informed you, prior to your arrival, that it had broken down and it would only be fixed after you'd left. I offered to pay for your use at the internet café ( literaly below the flat ), an offer you declined. The size of the TV screen is proportional to the size of the studio. Best regards. Violaine
