Thought has been put into every detail, making this the perfect option for a great family holiday, or for a get away break for one or more couples.

To benefit from the views and tranquillity, The Designhouse has an upside down layout. From the driveway, the main entrance opens to a hall with stairs leading down to the bedroom floor and then to the living area and sun terrace with heated infinity pool.

The Cubist architecture of the villa is complemented by a Le Corbusier chaise longue and glass table and chairs, Wassily chairs, EGE carpets and Paul Henningsen lamps in the living area. Spacious and fully open-plan, the uninterrupted panoramic floor to ceiling sliding picture windows display the wonderful views over the banana treetops to the sea.

The contemporary feel continues into the red themed fully equipped kitchen with central island, off of which is the laundry.

Both lead to the wonderful southern exposure sun terrace, which runs the whole length of the villa and features a beautiful heated 10m long infinity pool with waterfall. To take full advantage of outdoor living, a large comfortable sofa and outdoor dining table sits under a covered area for provides greater comfort in hot sunny days and balmy evenings.

The Master bedroom with double bed, en-suite shower room is on the first floor, features panoramic sea-views when lying on the bed, and leads to both a private balcony and the shared balcony. The second bedroom also features a double bed from which you can contemplate the ocean, and leads to the shared balcony. The third bedroom has two single beds and also leads to the shared balcony. A
study with desk it's the 4th bedroom, with its own private balcony, for those that wish to ally business with pleasure, has 2 single beds, that can also be made as a double.

The Designhouse offers the best of all worlds; although it is located in a tranquil position on a street with no exit, it is also only 3 Km from the village resort of Calheta with all its facilities, and only 1 Km away from the expressway that takes you all over the island. Funchal is only 30 minutes away and the airport a further 10 minutes drive.

There are many walks around Calheta and easy access to the plateau of Paul da Serra, with its many levada walks, makes this villa perfectly located for walking in Madeira and for enjoying a lovely holiday surrounded by the beautiful Madeira countryside.

Cleaning
The property is prepared for your arrival. For stays of longer than 7 nights, a change of linen and towels, and light mid-stay cleaning of bathrooms is provided on a day and time to be advised at check-in.
All linen and towels are provided, including towels for the swimming pool.
Guests need to vacate the villa during a mid-stay clean and change of linen.

Pool heating is optional and costs 140,00€ per week for a setting of 24ºC, paid in cash on arrival.
A supplement of 30,00€ per week applies for each additional degree setting up to a maximum of 26ºC
Pool heating can be provided and should be requested at least one week in advance. Should it be requested after arrival at the villa, the minimum charge applicable is one week, which is payable from the time the heating is turned on.

Booking Notes
The rental value varies with the number of people occupying the property, so please ensure you enter the correct dates, number of adults, children and infants. Please note that supplements apply should additional people join you for any length of time.
To secure your reservation we require a 30% deposit, or the full amount if you are arriving within 8 weeks. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

Final details for check-in and driving instructions to the property will be sent 7 days prior to arrival. A contact number will be provided, and to be able to access the property, you need to phone this number as you are leaving the airport. It is your responsibility to contact and advise the number provided on the check-in details to advise any delays to the expected check-in time.
Check-in times - at the property - are between 16H00 and 19H00. For Sunday arrivals and out of hours check-in, alternative arrangements will be made and an additional cost will apply.
Check-in and check-out flexibility will be applied where possible, but this will depend on housekeeping schedules and the departure and arrival days of other reservations either side of your stay; a definitive answer can only be provided within 24 hours of your arrival for check-in and your departure for check-out.
A security deposit of 300€ is required by credit card prior to check-in.
