The apartment is great,new,very clean,the location is excellent with the garage place,near is a big market,pizza restoran a bakery,great location and everything is close.Hosts are so kind and friendly,want to help with everything you need...really great.I will recommend to everyone to come and stay at this apartment at this great people.

Such great hospitality

I stayed in the apartment for one month. As Mr Alegra was not there in person but always available via email, his family took care of any problems and questions I had. They are absolute darlings. Really. Mr Alegra s father makes his own wine and proudly grows his own produce of which I revcevied ample amounts. I qwas well taken care off. The apartment is modern and the amneties are excellent. There was a situation in the bedroom with a weird smell(I am very senstive) and I took to sleeping on the sofa bed, which folds out easily and quick into a large double bed and allthough it is much harder than the normal bed matress it was acutally better for me this way. There is a balcony, the kitchen is excellently supplied, trash, keys, mail, everything was very convinient. There is a big supermarket 3 minutes by foot, banks, post office and several coffee shops, a bike shop, two local fruit stores, florist ect yet the neighborhood is still not too busy. The buses go regularily, no problem getting into town and back, even by foot(at least downhill is easy), there are two main paths, a taxi cost me never more than 7 euros. Never. Funchal itself is wonderful, has everything, Madeira in general is the most well organized and has the best infrastructure of any of the Islands I have been too in the atlantic and pacific. It was super clean.
