Excellent cottage in the perfect setting. Such a quiet and lovely place, perfectly equiped. Ample space for our family of 4, lovely garden. Will certainly recommend to friends and family.
This is a fantastic cottage in a beautiful location! It has everything you could want! We all wished we could have stayed longer! A great base for exploring the lakes!
Great location and property. We have stayed here many times before as it's ideal for a quiet family break away. The cottage is always spotless and thanks again to the owners Tina & Keith who always make the place so welcoming.
This was the first visit to the Lake District and very much enjoyed ourselves. The cottage was very clean and tidy. Appreciated that all the information about the area was left for us and all the walks.
This was our second stay this year at the cottage...it's an extremely well-kept property in a great location, perfect for exploring the local area and the Lakes. We've been coming back here every year since 2018 and have never had any issues. Hats off to the owners Tina & Keith, who keep the place in such good order.
Lovely cottage just outside of Kendal.
The garden was great for the dogs and enjoyed walks from cottage. The cottage itself was very nice, clean, spacious and had everything you needed. Welcome pack was a nice touch!
Gorgeous views and light from the substantial enclosed garden at the back. Good for sunsets. House heated quickly and is well equipped. Utility room was great for our third week on the road, we didn't have to unpack unnecessarily! Ideally placed for drives into Lake District, Yorkshire and Bowland.
My husband and I felt at home from the very first moment. We were impressed by the beautiful accommodation. Everything is lovingly designed and tastefully furnished. The house has a very homely atmosphere. The bathroom is one of the nicest we have experienced and we have never been lucky enough to have breakfast in a conservatory while watching so many birds, which was really touching. Our hosts kindly provided us with an identification book and a tip for a great bird song app. And: the charging station for our electric car was invaluably helpful! We slept wonderfully and did some lovely walks in the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and around the cottage. One week was not enough time. Many thanks to our friendly and helpful hosts Tina and Keith!!!
This has been one of our all time favorite places to stay. The host has thought of everything needed. After a long day of travel, we were welcomed with a nice basket of treats and more. Set in a quiet area and surrounded by natural beauty, you can immediately relax in one of the comfy chairs and watch the variety of birds in the garden or curl up with one of the books from their collection. Conveniently located to the lakes, dales, and other sites, there are several maps and directions for nearbywalks. Everyday necessities and excellent eateries are also close by. Without a doubt, we would stay here again. This is a very special place and I have to admit I shed a few tears when it came time to leave. Thank you, Tina and Keith, for giving us a place to make fond family memories for a lifetime.

Thanks for such a lovely review Michele. We know holidays are special times and we try our best to ensure our guests enjoy their stay at the Coach House. Hope you have a great time in the UK. Tina
We had had quite a difficult year, and decided at very short notice to book a few days away.We couldn't have chosen a more idyllic place. This cottage delighted us in every way. It is cosy, warm, quiet, comfortable, with a wonderful little garden, and the best equipped kitchen of any holiday let we've ever stayed in. And we have stayed in quite a few! The utility room was a godsend. We could change and leave muddy boots in there. We could also use it to rub down our soggy hound, and store all her food and equipment, leaving the living space clean and dry.
The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom is spacious, with a fabulously deep bath, and powerful walk-in shower.
The area is great for walking, and Tina and Keith have supplied a lot of information about different routes. They have obviously put a lot of thought, and care, into this little haven, and the welcome gift of Prosecco and carrot cake was very welcome, along with the milk in the fridge.
We can't praise this place enough, and we were reluctant to leave, but hopefully, we will be back.
We really enjoyed staying in the cottage and were sad to leave. Along with visiting the Lakes we also really enjoyed the local walks suggested. Thanks for a great stay! Claire

Really well appointed and recently refurbished property. Very clean and excellent high quality fixtures, fittings and equipment. It had everything we needed and more. We will definitely return!

We have recently completely renovated The Coach House and live less than 2 miles away. We have tried to create a tranquil holiday retreat combining high quality furnishings with original features to achieve a traditional yet contemporary ambience. As we live nearby we know and love the area and can give you lots of suggestions of places to visit to make the most of your stay whether it is fell-walking in the Lakes, activities for the children, restaurants or coffee shops. see our website at www.lakelandbreaks.co.uk
Why they chose this property
Close your eyes. Picture yourself in your own country idyll. Relax into the leather chesterfield and revel in the views of the garden from the picture windows. Listen to the logs crackling in the stove and soak up the traditional yet contemporary ambience surrounding you. Are you smiling? Then you're almost here. Step outside into the garden. It's a feast for the eyes. A large lawned cottage garden and a haven for birds and wildlife. You are at one with nature. How many species of birds can you see? Maybe a little star gazing tonight? No streetlights here to spoil the night sky and no noise to spoil your sleep except for maybe an owl or two. Blissful silence!! The Lake District, England’s premier National Park is on your doorstep. Your playground for the week. In no time at all you can be fell walking, rock climbing, sailing or simply marvelling at the landscape immortalised by Wordsworth and Coleridge. If you haven’t already been here it is simply stunning. If you have, it’s understandable why you are coming back. Fancy a short walk from the door? Go across the fields and walk up Helm Hill. From the top look across to the Lake District mountains. Turn around and almost touch the Yorkshire Dales, the Howgills and Three Peaks. A little further around and there's the sea at Morecambe Bay Stroll back home. How about a relaxing soak in the double ended free-standing bath and plan tomorrow. You might prefer to stay at home to recharge your batteries with a day in your private garden or snuggle up with a good book and glass of wine. We have a selection of books and games for your enjoyment.
