It was the perfect setting for our getaway with friends . The property offered the ideal balance of comfort and charm which made our time together all the more special. We’ve come away with great memories and would gladly stay at Holly Tree House again. Thank you for the welcome goodies , which we enjoyed .Hawkes Inn was great too !
Lovely property with great facilities and having a pub with nice food at the end of the garden was an added bonus. Great communication with property owner and no issues at all
Spacious house and ideally located for motorways, local attractions and in a beautiful village.
Pub at the end of the garden which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner
This was the second time that we stayed at Holly Tree House. The property is very homely and relaxing. The location and quietness of the area was just what we all wanted and the local Hawk Inn Pub is within 2 minutes walking distance.
We had a fabulous stay - thank you! The accommodation was plenty big enough for 10 of us and very comfortable. We were lucky enough with the weather that we could enjoy the garden. We really appreciated the 1pm checkout time, so we were able to have a leisurely breakfast and take a walk around the local area starting from the footpath right by the house before we headed back home.
Really lovely home. So comfortable. Perfect for a college reunion. Cant recommend enough. Bring wellies for walks!

Great property and location, helped by lovely weather. I recommend this property, though it was not clear on property description that the owner has this as a main residence and food items were left in the fridges and freezers, and on work surfaces. The BBQ had also not been cleaned ahead of booking.
Property is lovely and enjoyable great for a weekend with friends.

Spacious house, large garden, lovely location
Plenty of room in this family home for 10, and we also had 4 visitors for lunch and still we weren't pushed for space. The weather was good so we spent a lot of time in the large garden, and very much enjoyed the beautiful new terrace. Lots of space for cricket and football with the children, big and small! The owner was very helpful indeed and her local knowledge was particularly useful. As well as recommendations for local pubs / dining she recommended a superb caterer who came and provided a special lunch. I had rather a lot of emails with her in the couple of months prior to our stay with various requests, all of which she was quite happy to accommodate. This is a beautiful home with everything you will need and more. Thanks, Emily, for helping us to have a very special weekend.
My husband, daughter, and I enjoyed four days at this lovely spot. From the moment we pulled into the drive we felt at home. Before we even arrived at the property the host made us feel welcomed and at ease. The home and gardens were lovely and this wonderful balance of curated and cozy. We felt as if we were in a novel set in the English countryside in the most quaint village! Walking into an abode with fresh air and sunlight in each room, and the comfiest beds and furnishings was perfect after a morning of hurried travel, then being able to safely walk wherever we needed outside was exceptionally relaxing.
There was a notebook full of information and suggestions about the house and surrounding area which was quite helpful. It was also great being able to walk out the back gate into the foot path for the pub or a refreshing walk. Our seven year old made herself at-home immediately jumping on the trampoline, admiring artwork/drawings & family photos throughout, and exploring the property that was like a real-life dollhouse.
After we left the host contacted us to let us know we had left a pair of our daughter’s shoes. She very graciously posted them to our final UK destination before we headed home. Such a simple kind act that was greatly appreciated. I could go in for hours about Holly Tree House—-and very likely will to all our family and friends in the coming weeks! Thank you so very much for sharing your most special home with us!
My family and I had the great pleasure of staying in this stunning home for 8 days in July this year. The house was exactly as it is in the beautiful pictures and we made the most of everything the house and location afforded us. There is normally something you have to compromise on being in a rental property but not here! The beds were all super comfortable, lovely bedding, spacious and modern bathrooms aways with enough hot water, quiet and privet, laundry room, plenty of parking with an amazing garden for the children. We spent our mornings as a family enjoying breakfast in the large kitchen and family room, lazy lunches on the wisteria festooned patio as the children enjoyed all of the fun activities in the large garden and then gentle evenings outside and then in the cozy sitting room; it was exactly what we wanted for our extended family vacation / reunion. So many happy family memories were made and we’d love to return one day.
The host family were wonderful to work with, super communicative in the pre-rental process and the house file gave us all of the info we needed and more, highlighting all of the local amenities and activities of which there were many. Super lovely family hosts were very responsive during our stay with random questions we had.
We had a truly memorable stay and we would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a lovely vacation in a beautiful home in the heart of historic Hampshire and all of the delights it has to offer. Enjoy!
A very comfortable and spacious house which suited our family of 6 very well. Beautifully kept house and a lovely garden space for play and new times.

Holly Tree Haven!
This is a very well appointed house with comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Very good for a large party. We were 6 adults and 5 children (one a very small baby). It was very clean and welcoming when we arrived.
We managed to meet Emily and Justin and their lovely family some time before our stay and they could not have been more welcoming and easy to get on with. Very little seemed to be "out of bounds", including the children's toys, books and games, which we all enjoyed. The terrace outside the kitchen was not quite finished, but they had put a lovely big table on it so as we could all have lunch outside.
The pub which is accessed through a gate at the end of the garden offers good food and has plenty of space for high chairs and prams!
The only downside was the heat of the Aga during the day, which was low and it took an age to boil the kettle! But apart from that, we would highly recommend this property for any age!

About the host
Hosted by Emily
We are a family of four, who love to share our house with people looking for a special get away in the beautiful countryside. We take great pride in our home and hope that you will enjoy your time here as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
We love our house and village so much. It is such a peaceful, pretty area with gorgeous rambling country walks and complete serenity. Yet we have the very popular market towns of Stockbridge, Marlborough and Winchester on our doorstep. All have fantastic shops, pubs and restaurants which we visit regularly. Added to that, a wonderful pub located via a secret gate at the top of our garden. It doesn't get much better than that!
What makes this property unique
Here are some of the wonderful testimonials from guests who have stayed at Holly Tree House:
"The pictures show a beautiful home but in reality the house exceeded all of our expectations. The house is set in a stunning location and Emily made us feel so welcome. The house is so spacious yet cosy."
"This beautiful house is very clean and tidy, and is decorated to a very high standard, but it still feels very homely. Its spacious and light...and we loved it! We particularly enjoyed "chilling" in the large kitchen, playing in the large garden, and relaxing in the sitting room, in font of the wood-burner. It's also a really child-friendly house, with lots of resident toys."
"We were looking for the perfect place for a girlie get together and fell upon this beautiful house in an idyllic village. We weren't disappointed. Spacious and beautifully decorated, this was a wonderful place to spend a leisurely weekend".
"The house is well decorated, big (yet cosy) with comfy beds, brand new bathrooms, a large dinning table and an incredible kitchen. The garden is huge, there are fantastic walks from the doorstep and a pub at the end of the garden. It really was perfect.....Please don't hesitate to book!!!"
"The living space is open plan but still very cosy - perfect for cooking and spending time in."
