Lovely!
The property was beautiful, clean and comfortable. For a working farm, there was not much noise. It was a very relaxing stay. A warm welcome from Karen and a very nice gesture by ringing the previous day to confirm. Overall a good time.

Peaceful retreat!
Lovely converted barn building. All on one level. Super bedrooms each with ensuite facilities. Plenty of room for 4 people but soft seating would be a bit of a squeeze if there were 6. Quite a bit of noise from traffic on the road and railway which was a bit of a surprise considering we were not in a built up area. Overall though would recommend.

Very comfortable property. Nice location to explore area. It is on a working farm, so you need to take that into consideration.

Tidy, clean and modern accommodation
Friends and I had a lovely time catching up this weekend mostly sitting around the table in the kitchen with cups of tea or glasses of wine :-) The place was clean and had everything you would need for self catering holiday. We visited Southwell and Lincoln on the two days we were there and pottered around the shops. Towels smelt nice and beds comfortable. Thank you to Karen for a lovely stay.

A good base with friendly helpful owners
We stayed in The Old Dairy during a heatwave and as the building works commenced on the barn we looked on to. Karen advised us about the work two days before our stay. The cottage was clean and well equipped and there were supplies to get us going in the kitchen and bathrooms, including homemade cakes, eggs and milk. We were out at an event at the showground most days so that the noise from the building work did not disturb us. We left a day early to escape the heatwave as it was difficult to keep cool in the cottage, opening windows let in flies and smells from the cows across the yard and noise from the works. The event we were attending finished on the Thursday but we had planned to stay on until Friday to enjoy the area had the weather been kinder. A JCB and the roofers arriving on Thursday morning as we were preparing to leave confirmed our decision. The cottage is great as a base but not a tranquil setting at the moment and there are no pretty views of the surrounding countryside from any of the windows which is a shame. I think we were spoilt by visiting friends in a cottage nearby which had all those benefits, fortunately we were able to spend time there in the evenings and had a lovely break.
