Enjoy a private wooded setting – from the wrap-around deck, the hot-tub or the wall of windows along the open-concept, vaulted, living area. Queen bedroom on main floor and a queen bed in loft. (Loft is accessed by a ladder – which is fun for some of us, but not recommended for guests with physical limitations or for children.) Full bath; full kitchen (full-size range, full-size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker); gas fireplace (seasonal) and charcoal grill; and wifi. INCLUDED All of the Chalets include: a scenic setting; outdoor hot-tub; fireplace and grill; kitchen with cooktop, microwave, coffee maker, cooking utensils and tableware; satellite tv with dvd player; bed, bath and kitchen linens with bath soap and dish soap; toilet paper; access to the guest pool; central air conditioning and heat. See details for type of grill and fireplace, additional kitchen features, and if there is a fire pit, laundry, private pool, wifi and other amenities. SITE Laurelwood – Hocking Hills is located off of State Route 664, on the Chalets’ 140-acre campus – just up the hill from the guest pool (open Memorial Day to Labor Day) and Chalets’ front desk. The closest state park is Old Man’s Cave, two miles or a 5-minute drive. SIMILAR If you like this chalet, you will also like: Pine Cone, the Falls and Elk. (Elk is a few miles away.)

We had a blast over a couple of days and the this property had everything we needed for a great family getaway. The only down side was that we didn’t have more time to spend here! Super easy check in, close to all major Hocking Hills hiking. Can’t wait to come back!!

Cell service is spotty in the area, but signs clearly communicate all around. Service and sights very friendly in the area, EV chargers, gas, food and hiking all withij 5-10 minute drive. Quiet, cozy environment. Great proximity to local trails. Hot tub worked great. Wonderful getaway spot. Cute little mouse did hang out in our fireplace at night. Loft felt too high and steep for our comfort to allow kids to sleep upstairs. We would return in a heartbeat. Loved it!

Overall, the house was cute and surface cleaned. However, we did have a problem with mice. We informed the front desk of the issue and they had someone come out. This still did not help the issue. There were droppings all over the counter after we got back each day and when we woke up in the morning. The mice also ate through our bread. I feel we paid a lot for this cabin to have an issue like this. I also told the front desk this at check out and they said they would talk to the owner but we never heard back from anyone. This was disappointing. We will be using a different cabin next time.

Everything was perfect!

This was probably the cleanest property we’ve ever stayed in! Everything was exactly as described in the listing. Very secluded and private but with great access to the park and other destinations.

Very remote feeling and very comfortable

Check in was easy with an access code. Loved the hot tub and porch. Really allowed us to enjoy the outdoors in addition to being comfortable inside. Great location!

Beautiful Deer

This is a cozy cabin in the woods close to Hocking Hills State Park, our destination. It is very clean with all amenities except a hair dryer. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful part of Ohio and the deer in the yard.

Family getaway

Beautiful and clean cabin. We loved the hot tub after our days of hiking. You feel secluded and our dogs had plenty of room to run around. Our daughter enjoyed swimming at the pool which was a walkable distance from this cabin. We would definitely recommend this place and plan to go back in the future.

Great Weekend Stay

We booked the Laurelwood for an anniversary trip. It was ready as expected. Great space for the two of us. It was secluded enough were we didn’t see others at the Chalets. But also very close to Old Man’s cave. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a cozy weekend getaway.

Loved the cabin - very clean and well-maintained. Perfect size for my fiancé and I plus our Australian Shepard. The location is great - nice and secluded, yet it’s within just a few minute drive of a store or a good chunk of the state parks. Staff was very friendly and helpful. No complaints whatsoever

New Yeats 2025

Perfect location for access to all well known sites. 2 small mom and pop stores nearby for any essentials needed. Close access off of freeway but still very quiet. Other cabins nearby closer than I would like, but still private and peaceful. Property is well maintained. The listing specifies 2 bedrooms however one of the rooms is up a fairly steep ladder/open staircase so not ideal for kids or anyone with physical impairments.

For $300/ night I was disappointed

At a minimum I would expect to have a clean shower for $300/night. But I stood in dirty water because the drain did not allow the dirty water to drain out… and the clean water smelled like sewage. No matter the amount of soap I used I was still feeling gross after my shower. The views were great though. The hot tub was not very clean either.

Laurelwood The Chalets

We arrived on August 30 prior to getting into our cabin we had to pick up beer cans from past guests, muddle through the grass that was not mowed for days to walk inside to find it very literal essentials, I’ve stayed at cabins before, and this was the least I have ever seen kind of surprising for Hocking Hills. The bedding was basically a cot with very uncomfortable and very used pillows and comforters. Strong order with the well water which again I understand well water, but this was extremely disgusting and strong. The hot tub you cannot control the temperatures, It was way too hot to get into. The trash was on top of the deck, which made tons of flies and bugs come onto the deck, which made it hard to sit on the deck and enjoy. My dogs found a huge hornets nest in the grass, which they would’ve never seen it because the grass was so high, this could’ve been very bad for my dogs. Good thing we seen it right away so we could keep them away from it! needless to say, I would not stay here again maybe try a different cabin, but if they’re all the same, I think I would have to pass on The Chalets!

Everything was great in the cabin. The hot tub broke and they came and fixed it right away! Great service and beautiful cabin. The hot water did smell bad, but other than that it was a great experience!
